Ever have minor/moderate pain in that area? When the fluid leaks from a disc like that, it can cause minor nerve irritation. May not have even been anything noticeable as different than everyday aches/pains.

Put me on that list. I’m 39, and noticed that on cold mornings, my ankles are incredibly stiff and sore. Never had a severe injury from the gridiron (broken finger was the worst), just the years of pounding and the usual collection of sprains/twists.

Eeeeeh….that sounds less than enjoyable. Hope it turns out. Seen more than a couple of back issues over the past couple of years. My boss who is 55-ish actually had a re-herniated L3/4 disc about 18 months ago. Had it repaired about 10 years ago and it wound up re-herniating on the other side. And my father in law is dealing with bone spurs on his vertebrae. Product of being an underground coal miner for 40 years. He’s holding off on surgery until it’s completely unbearable though.

Nope. ‘87 DPOY, 5 time all defensive first team, 3 time all defensive 2nd team. 5 NBA rings as a player, 2 WNBA rings and a D-League championship as a head coach. Not a half bad resume.

There’s “non-wealthy” dresses that cost 5K. For a “fairytale” wedding? 50K wouldn’t surprise me. That’s on the extreme end for “realistic”, but it wouldn’t shock me. Even if it’s 20K, that’s 20% down on a lot of homes. Or just money to save/invest.

I’ll also advocate for this stance. Unless you have a liquid net worth north of 7 figures, why spend 50-75K on a one day party? That’s a big chunk of a decent house.

The cows are the real victims here. With their poor spelling, it’s obvious they haven’t received even a basic education and are being forced to advocate for the consumption of other animals. Same. I’ll give a moderate tip if they’re bringing it out to the car, but if I’ve got to go in and get it….nope.

Here’s the issue I have with this: that’s a meta-analysis, not a clinical trial in and of itself. It’s a group of physicians going over and statistically combining the results of other studies. There’s 30 or so studies that the authors say show evidence pointing to one conclusion. How is anyone to know that there aren’t 60 more that point away from that conclusion?

That’s no joke. Those things are real life street legal clown cars. I drive a Honda Ridgeline, which is not a massive pickup. I measured, and a smart car can fit in the bed of my truck. The only car I’ve ever seen that would be a bigger death trap than a Smart is a Geo Metro convertible. I can’t think of a single sane person who would have thought a Metro convertible was a good idea. Even these sad sacks who lose their job, their wife leaves them, their dog runs away, house catches on fire and they contract the clap all in the same week will think “I’ve lost about all will to live….but I ain’t driving that thing.”

See, that’s why I intentionally leave a minuscule, borderline worthless tip if I’m not happy. No, I didn’t just forget. No, I’m not just one of these a***oles that doesn’t believe in tipping. This tip reflects the level of service you provided. And I don’t do that if the food isn’t cooked right or something else out of the servers’ control. If the kitchen is backed up, at least come out once and tell me that. Don’t just leave me sitting out there.
