  1. In my limited knowledge of Greek, I believe it translates to "Gyro gyro parthenon Spiro Agnew"
  2. That's one small step for...me, I guess. I've studied and dabbled in the market over the last 10 years, but always on a cash basis. Earlier this week, I pulled the trigger and applied/converted one of my brokerage accounts to margin. I have zero intention of using the vast majority of that leverage. I mainly just wanted to be able to trade on unsettled cash. Well, everything finally re-settled today, and I pulled the trigger on my first extremely small but successful short sale. I've never done any hard drugs, but damn....that has to be what it feels like. Creating money from nothing....Even if it is just $1.60.
  3. Boat: A hole in the water that you pour money into
  4. That piping looked like it was done by the firm of Fox Wonder. Designed by Stevie Wonder, installed by Michael J. Fox.
  5. Shampoo is better! I go on first and clean the hair. Conditioner is better! I leave the hair silky and smooth! Stop looking at me, Swan!
  6. It's all about leverage. With leverage on your side, a half inch of movement can produce searing pain.
  7. Any time I've planted a garden in the past, it seems like one particular plant just goes gangbusters and takes over half the garden. Had it happen 2 years ago with yellow squash and 3 years ago with lettuce. And some of those squash grew to the size of footballs.
  8. In regards to the heart warnings, according to the CDC report I read, there have been 1226 reported cases of myocarditis (swelling of the heart) out of 300,000,000 vaccine doses given. While that may be enough to add a warning, that's a 0.0004% rate. In other words, if you have preexisting cardiovascular issues, take additional caution. If you're in otherwise good health, the odds are still very, very slim. FWIW, I've got mild high blood pressure and had the Pfizer vaccine about 3 months ago. Zero cardiovascular effects. Again, just my personal experience, so YMMV. The link between the Pfizer vaccine and myocarditis was actually first seen in children, specifically males age 12-17. However, given the number of confirmed cases of myocarditis, that's not the driver of children's hospitalizations.
  9. Remind me never to get on your bad side if I'm not holding a firearm 🤣
  10. Sage advice. We'll save the true addiction (router bits) for future lessons.
  11. Our previous two consecutive coaches have left to take jobs at the equivalent of Alabama/Notre Dame or UCLA/Duke. Think about that for a minute.
  12. Gonna be some fireworks on the 4th. First Spells, now Durant.
  13. Couldn't be that much worse. It had the taste and hardness of a pink roofing tile back then.
  14. The "combat" sports (boxing and amateur/collegiate wrestling) require such varying combinations of skills and levels of conditioning that they immediately translate into many other sports. I played football, baseball, ran track and wrestled in high school and hands down, the most rigorous conditioning was wrestling. We had a wrestler that hadn't played football since maybe 6th grade decide to play his junior year and within a day or two of full contact practice was putting on a clinic in open field/special teams tackling. Same general motions as shooting a leg for a takedown, aside from wrapping and turning instead of coming back to your feet.
  15. Can't say he'd be much in a full court game against all those young thoroughbreds given his knees, but give Coach a good enough screen from 16-18 feet and he could probably still put on a show worth watching.
  16. There's a 33% chance he goes pro, a 33% chance he transfers, a 33% chance he returns, and a 1% chance he quits basketball and takes up water polo. You heard it here first folks.
  17. Collectibles really do fall into that grey area. Mostly it's a hobby, but if you know what to watch for, you can make a buck or two. A gigantic box of mid-late 80s baseball cards at a garage sale...probably not all that valuable. A sharp eye might notice that the first card in the stack is an '88 Score Craig Biggio rookie. In decent condition, that's probably $40-50. Probably worth whatever they're asking.
  18. Yep, multitude of reasons to demo the rest of it. If only for the fact that it has to be astronomically cheaper to go that route vs repair the existing structure, even if it's deemed sound.
  19. Same. In the mid 90s, 3D was as good a sniper as there was. And this was absolutely a Woodson connection. Have to know that in their respective careers, Coach and DScotts paths have crossed more than once. Surprised we were his first offer. You'd think if he's anywhere near a D1 talent that GT would have thrown their name in just for the legacy factor.
  20. Well, that's the convergence of multiple variables being exactly wrong at just the right time. It's amazing how close that it looked to a controlled drop though. And I didn't think you could build a building that big on a slab, but I guess there's no choice in places like Florida or Louisiana.
  21. Odds are probably close to roulette: slightly less than 50/50. But at least there's more than just pure luck involved (sometimes...lol).
  22. Lots of good attributes about volleyball that translate to good OL play: footwork, explosiveness, etc...
  23. I'd be OK with a cap of 2 times, but maybe with the caveat that there could only be 2-3 returning players. I remember Pippen and Barkley playing on both the original Dream Team and in Atlanta in 1996.
  24. Got to admire his attitude. All the makings of a star, but has his head screwed on the right way.
  25. And all that on top of the normal BS that comes with moving 🤣
