  1. Forgot I posted this. Arielle, my furry friend above, had to be put down October 1 due to steadily worsening heart failure. Was about 3 weeks short of her 14th birthday. Miss you, pup.
  2. Guess I'll throw my recent activity in... Currently have a new house under construction, so we're staying with my in laws since the end of September and will be for another month. As we were packing up the old house, my wife said "Don't put the table saw in storage....", and I knew I was in for it. Wish I had a before pic, but this was October's "rent" payment: The only molding that I didn't do was the crown (but not for lack of asking). Previous baseboards were just 3.5" generic builder grade. Everything aside from the cornice over the window and the cove on the mock "columns" started out as 4x8 sheets of MDF (why waste actual wood just to paint it white?).
  3. Still can't tell if it was pilot error or mechanical problems. May never know.
  4. The 24/8 second violations in tribute to Kobe were a brilliant idea.
  5. If anyone ever needs a lesson in rebounding, pull up a game from the early 90s that put Barkley against Rodman. It's mind blowing how well they could calculate the angles and timing, and be in just the perfect position.
  6. That's actually why I picked Carter and Marion. Carter's near the top in terms of longevity and Marion is pretty high on that list. They both developed from purely athletic-based games into very well rounded players. I think Zion can do the same.
  7. I see him as Shawn Marion or Vince Carter. He'll rely upon his athleticism early in his career, and his athleticism is off the charts. He'll develop some or all of the fundamentals he's missing at the moment as his career goes on. But....I see him working better as a #2 vs THE go to guy on a team.
  8. Not sure why this popped into my head, but that sounds very similar to a typical Paul Pierce statline, compliment to OG intended.
  9. No idea if/what Lunardi's methodology is, but this season, I think you could slam a six pack and take a leak against a wall with all D1 team names written on them, and the first 68 that get hit are tournament teams.
  10. Not that I'm anything close to a pro scout, but I couldn't believe Guy left early. I guess he wasn't going to gain anything by staying, but he's always struck me as the stereotypical "Great college player whose game just doesn't translate to the NBA".
  11. Valid point. Hell for all we know, he'll show up at halftime of a women's game just because he felt like it.
  12. You want to be the one to tell Bob Knight he can't do something inside Assembly Hall? Maybe from behind a wall.
  13. There's a bio-documentary called Deli Man done about the owner, Ziggy Gruber. Should be on Netflix/Amazon Prime. Worth a watch. By all reviews, it may be the best deli outside of NYC in the country. I've been to Houston several times, but it's always been on quick business trips. Never made it down there, and now that my corporate HQ is Dallas, I'm kicking myself for not going.
  14. A) 5fouls has divorced for less than that B) Speaking of Houston delis, ever been down to Kenny & Ziggy's near Galleria?
  15. And from what I've seen/heard, it's basically an entire lobster's worth of meat shoved in that tiny little roll. Same end result as eating a fresh steamed lobster, but no assembly required. Accurate?
  16. Italian Beef in Chicago, Pork Tenderloin Sammich in Indiana, Maid-Rite in Iowa, burnt ends in KC, Hot Brown in Kentucky, Skyline #-way in Ohio..... Yep, solid list, and I can vouch for all of the above. Interestingly, that list also has two of my food bucket list items: pastrami from Katz's in NYC and an actual Maine lobster roll.
  17. Can't disagree. although I think this team would benefit from an old fashioned RMK halftime reaming 😂
  18. No.....halftime pep talk. There's no pregame pep talk needed. If you don't grasp the magnitude of being the first Indiana players that Bob Knight is going to see in Assembly Hall since he last patrolled the sidelines, don't even put that uniform on. The man who is largely responsible for making that building the Carnegie Hall of College Basketball. Hell, the man who came up with those candy striped pants you're about to put on. No.....if you don't get what it means and you're not already jacked and focused, don't bother. Not this coming Saturday.
  19. When Busch is an "upgrade"....oy. Could they not get Blatz in large enough quantities?
