  1. This season needed a seismic event to turn things around. Maybe we just found it.
  2. That's an interesting and completely valid point.
  3. Better to sweat in training than bleed in battle.
  4. He's only got a couple on me, but still... Lol
  5. I like it. Makes me feel better knowing there's still one NBA player older than me. 😂
  6. Congrats to Vinsanity. Today, he became the first NBA player to appear in 4 different decades: 1990s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s. One player drafted in the same draft as Carter (Tyronne Lue) has won a title as a head coach, and Vince is still playing. Decent draft too: Dirk, Pierce, Jamison, Rashard Lewis, Bibby, Jason Williams, Cuttino Mobley...
  7. RIP Commish He may have had some controversial moments (what commissioner doesn't?), but he's also a key figure in the growth of the NBA to where it is today.
  8. That's actually the joke. It goes: " 'You miss 100%of the shots you don't take' - Wayne Gretzky" - Michael Scott
  9. This is one of those cases where trends can take over. Every one of those places had "designer" fries. Which I like as well as anyone. But what's becoming a lost art is just a good old fashioned French fry, and making it good. Taters, salt, oil. Done. But doing it well is harder than you'd think.
  10. You left out Dixie Chili. I'm a non-native Cincinnatian, so I have no dog in that fight.
  11. Williams almost reminds me of the role Ron Harper played in the 2nd Bulls three-peat. Is he at the same level of the big duo? Of course not. But he's multi-talented and can (and has on lesser teams) fill it up if his number is called.
  12. A Pat's vs Geno's debate makes the Skyline vs Gold Star arguments I've witnessed seem downright civil....and I've seen blood spilled over that. #philly #dodgethebatteries
  13. Make no mistake, Leonard and George are the headliners, but Beverly is as much of a leader as either of them on that team.
  14. Kylie Irving is an even better autocorrected name than Blake Hassenpfeffer
  15. That is seriously going to be one of the worst trades in pro sports history. KP makes it inexcusable anyway, but hey, let's toss in Hardaway, Lee and Burke. All for a struggling 1st rounder, 2 1sts and cap space to sign a talented but me-first Kyrie and a guy who won't play for a year. Yeah...that makes sense.
  16. Some degree of subjectivity is involved in articles like this, but they're straight up wrong on their Kentucky selection. Because the best grilled cheese in this commonwealth comes from my kitchen. Cast iron pan. Medium high heat. Let warm for 5 mins. Preheat oven to 450. Thick cut Sourdough. Spread cream cheese on the inside of each piece. Fill with one slice each of American, Swiss and Mozzarella (or Muenster/Havarti for a more sophisticated audience. But let's get real....90% of the time you're making grilled cheese, it's either for kids or drunk adults, so sophisticated can take a hike.) Cover the outside of each piece with butter....the real stuff (get outta here with that margarine #$&%). Griddle each side until golden brown. Place skillet in preheated oven for 2-3 minutes. Cut. Eat. Pairs well with damn near anything. Caution: can be habit forming. Not good for cardiovascular system. Eat more than one and you may not #$&% for 3-4 days.
  17. Apparently this Porzingis guy is pretty good even without Luka. 22 & 18 in a win vs Philly.
  18. Taco Bell goes through my colon like Sherman through Atlanta: quickly and leaving everything on fire in its wake. So unless I'm out of Ex-Lax.....
  19. I think he probably was a step up from where George is now, which isn't a slight to PG. But that edge that he seemed to play with in GS just wasn't there in OKC. Now that I think about it.....that's a VERY interesting scenario compared to the ones that have been discussed. This isn't a guy that was a clear cut "alpha" (I hate that term FWIW) that joins a team that had 3 or 4 top 30-ish players and emerges with more confidence, more of an edge and would now be considered a clear cut "alpha".
  20. He was probably somewhere between PG now and Kawhi now, but to an extent, Durant probably fell into that category before he went to GS.
  21. And then you'd be saying "Back in my day, players showed up to camp in shape!" Actual answer, because to maintain an ultra-high level of performance, long periods of downtime aren't good either. Footnote: I actually have no dog in this fight. This was a situation that was just screaming for a devil's advocate though.
  22. Don't forget....the first two titles they won, they had both Robinson and Duncan. If that's not a two superstar lineup.....
  23. Custom builds are exactly that. One may not be as durable as another. But, if it gets the job done when it counts, does it matter?
