  1. That Durr travel call was bs.
  2. First 5 minutes of second half….We can’t give Wiscy hope.
  3. Yes. Nearly everyone, and everything, else looking good. Have seen a little of the weave tonight, at the top of the key, which gives me hives.
  4. Bates hit the three but to’s before that and another after the 3. Little out of sync.
  5. We might. TJD caught Davis across the face a bit and no call !!!!!!
  6. Agree that it was a complete breakdown that led us to not getting a shot off. Two wild guesses: Once the play broke down X would have driven the ball down the lane and thrown up a layup or dished off. We would have gotten a shot (and maybe a tip-in) off. If Rob was in he would have also dribbled like KL did but, with 1/10th of a second left, would have hoisted a contested, desperation three…but would have gotten a shot off.
  7. In no way do I think Woody (and the staff) just roll the ball out. One of the reasons I like listening to Woody after games is because of the adjustments he refers to that were made during the game.
  8. Wow. 2-40. Hell, I’d bet Priller could have hit 3 out of 40.
  9. He had 16 Power 5 offers including Alabama, Michigan, Georgia, Oregon and LSU. I don’t need to know anything else.
  10. I’d bet our only chance is for Curry, in the next few days, to meet and totally fall for an insanely hot coed (preferably triplets) heading to IU. Aside from that scenario, adios Mr Curry.
  11. Bingo. All of the coaches saw tape of the Syracuse game. The very next game X gets in foul trouble and only plays 15 minutes, which is a perfect scenario to allocate some PG minutes, but KL but didn’t get any of them. I wish the best for KL and hope he does well when the coaches put him in. Aside from that…..whatever happens, happens.
  12. The only other one I see (power 5) was Arkansas but maybe he had others. In any case he is a goner. A couple of his quotes to the Fort Worth paper (I also realize he is probably too classy to say anything negative about IU): “It’s been a crazy day,” Hoover said, “But I’m excited about the decision. Whenever Coach Dykes and Coach Riley got their jobs at TCU, it changed the whole thing. ... I went over to TCU (on Sunday) and saw it and talked with the staff and just knew this was the place for me.” I love Texas. It’s my home. As much as I want to say I’d go somewhere for a lot of other reasons, definitely a reason to choose TCU was to stay home. It’s easy for my family to come out there. We’re an hour away from my house. I take pride in having great relationships with my family, so that is a factor. It’s cool to be able to stay close to home.”
  13. I would guess, but don’t know for sure, that Dykes (who recruited him at SMU) getting the TCU job also didn’t help our cause. All the sudden he had a Power 5 offer from a school, and coach he already knew, a hour from his house.
  14. It’s been like that for years. The nation wasn’t exactly holding their breath waiting for the IU/Duke Pinstripe bowl, etc. The fan bases involved are interested, maybe some fans of the conferences involved, but most importantly they are able to sell ads. The last item, selling tv ads, is by far the most important reason these bowls exist.
  15. I’ve wondered about him signing ever since he began putting up huge numbers this year in the highest division in Texas football.
  16. That’s also my question. I looked at a couple of Ole Miss boards and they are not exactly broken up over losing their 2 DL’s to IU. I’m curious how those that closely follow these things feel about the incoming guys we have landed so far.
  17. We don’t deserve to be top 25 but according to the NET ratings we are 15 spots behind Monmouth, 5 spots behind Navy and 27 spots behind Chattanooga. That’s laughable.
  18. Great news and makes me confident his incoming brother won’t bail.
  19. Yep, I’d guess that at least 1/2 of Robs minutes have simply been because X can’t stay out of foul trouble.
  20. Got the W. In order to finish in the top half of the league we absolutely had to get a home win against the 12th/13th best team in the league. 11 turnovers at the half but finished with 14 for the game (3 in the second half, call Ripleys). Race and the bench gave a lot of effort today. Leal and Bates provided some really good minutes TJD was really “flat”. Kopp (who will do some good things for us this year) had a terrible game. Not sure why he played as much as he did in the second half. Good to see Stewart hit some second half 3’s. Will be big if he and Bates (and Kopp) can be a threat through the conference season. On to Wiscy. They will shoot a lot better than Nebraska. Hope we can keep Davison in check but I’m willing to bet he will draw 3 fouls on X in less than 10 minutes.
  21. He was really bad in the Cuse game. Got the hook after 4 minutes and never got back in.
  22. That’s correct. No way Woody would have put him in that situation, vs Cuse, if X or Rob had been available.
  23. Not great. Pre-season they were picked to be 12th/13th in the league.
