  1. This isn’t related to the NB game specifically but will impact our teams. A group in Texas just announced a $10,000,000 package to be directed towards UT NIL activities. It’s getting real now and IU needs donors with $$$$ willing to pay the kids for various NIL activities.
  2. Yes, because you initiated it and I thought it was obvious what you were doing. If I was wrong, mea culpa. I’ll shift back to sports now and my apologies to all that saw our comments.
  3. I don’t really care but just chuckled at you interjecting it again. Watching a home game on TV for 3 seconds made it obvious that most are not wearing masks.
  4. Nebraska looked better than I expected on the road. The pre-season consensus had NC State ranked 9th in the ACC, out of 15 teams, right behind Georgia Tech and Syracuse. I think we will win but will be surprised if it’s by 20.
  5. I had no idea you would be maskless Thanks for letting us know.
  6. Nor starting the football season on the road at Iowa. (and I’m not just saying that because we got smoked). Teams should have the out of conference games to work out the kinks, see which new players can play, etc. before the conference season starts.
  7. I didn’t see the molar (LOL) game. Just saying we would have won without an insane number of turnovers, many of which had little to do with how Cuse defended/played. On to the next two games. Neither Wiscy nor NB looked like pushovers tonight.
  8. I think we had a lot of unforced turnovers which had little to do with the Cuse D. Their D couldn’t have been overly tough as we shot 55% from the field and 40% from the three.
  9. Has anyone seen UM in other games this season? Dickinson has not played much, due to foul problems, but when he has been in he looked rather pudgy/fluffy, ponderous and disengaged. Maybe I don’t clearly remember how he played last year but he looks slow tonight.
  10. Colgate had 11 turnovers and we had 26. We would have won by at least 14 if we had only committed 11 TO’s.
  11. I was hopeful once I saw the replay showing a knee-knock, rather than an awkward landing, but in live time I saw my 2021-2022 IU basketball season flash before my eyes More importantly I was worried if it would impact his career as he has worked hard, seems like a great kid and has been a fantastic representative of the program. Needless to say…he came back strong.
  12. A lot of the TO’s had nothing to do with running, pressure or the zone. They were simply boneheaded plays. Stewart’s (great to see his shooting by the way) opening turnover to start the game, when he passed it right to a Cuse player, was laughably bad. Guys leave their feet, force passes when they don’t have a decent angle, throw at guys feet, etc etc. Woodys 12 to goal might be a pipe dream with these guys, against BT competition, but we really need to at least get it to 15 or under. EDIT: After seeing a post below, that we ranked 266th last year with 11.9 TO’s per games, it’s obvious we need to be under 12 (10?) and not the 15 I referenced above. In any case having 2 games over 20 is unacceptable. D is getting better, perimeter shooting is getting better and I trust that Woody will help improve our TO problem.
  13. Yes, adding jumpers and his right hand has not happened to any great degree but….he has greatly reduced the weak, point blank, flings/shots at the basket he used to do 3-5 times a game and now attacks like he is really pissed off at the rim. He attacks and his move from getting off the ground to dunking the ball is crazy twitchy quick. His D is also better as is his hustle and endurance.
  14. THAT is a great point….. I was excited and can’t wait for the upcoming games. Archie had put me into an IU basketball apathetic stupor that I had never encountered before. It’s GREAT to be alive again. So much to clean up (giving a team over 30 points off To’s…WTF) but I’m confident in the trajectory.
  15. Damn. Down 1 and then 2 straight TO’s. Robs and Races were both, again, unforced. let’s go.
  16. I think he was saying the oppposite.
  17. That looked like a phantom call.
  18. Agree Cuse doesn’t have their usual defense . Most our of 1st half to’s were unforced. Love the uptick in our second half D and how we repeatedly found Parker (which helps TJD).
  19. Sadly a lot of the TO’s had nothing to do with the defense. Just some really mind numbing unforced turnovers including Parker’s pass right to the Cuse player to start the game.
  20. I thought we would really get in their face on the perimeter. I was sorely mistaken.
  21. To be fair…..Hard to say much positive about us so far
  22. Wow does Geronimo look bad so far.
  23. Bad start but only down by 4. Not bad.
  24. Would you try Geronimo on Blenheim?
