That just sort of sounds like change for the sake of change. I'm not a fan of the idea. Sorry.
No need to be sorry at all I respect your opinion for sure.

From an article when he committed:
From the video I have watched, I really like Banks’ ballhandling skills for his size. He has a nice pull-up jumper, and what looks to be a nice shooting touch. All of that looks like a great fit for a Mike Woodson 4-out, 1-in type of offense.
Kaleb average 23.5 points per game as a junior at Fayette County High School. He also added 8.5 rebounds and shot 38% from the three-point line.
Yeah I think like a lot of high school kids when they are the star of their team and get high volume they look great because they are getting reps but then Woodson has a specific demand for defense and you get buried if you can’t defend and that not only hurts your confidence but also hurts your number of reps.

You know what I would find interesting/cool with NIL being such a thing. You now get 5 years of eligibility instead of 4 since Covid year is gone but that 5th year you must be enrolling in a grad program and you must transfer to a different school. Now obviously number of years change based on redshirt and medical redshirt.

ITH is saying it's done.
I mean I’m happy but weird Sparks would literally change his instagram to Indiana Basketball 2025.

Sounds like Sparks could be about to bounce too
Don’t think this is true. He just changed his profile to Indiana Basketball 2025

There aren’t any IU recruits…the closest recruit to IU would be the ones going to Purdue…so this is what we have for 24. Take it or leave it.
It’s literally like putting salt into a wound. So not only do we have zero 2024 players to talk about we have to talk about a players success going to a rival school.

Bet he is announcing where he will play his final year of prep ball.
Now that the Montverde pipeline is closed he’s gonna transfer there LOL

I have a hard time understanding why some think Pearl would leave the successful program he has built at Auburn for the mess we now have here. I don't see that happening.
For some people they love a state or a program so much that they don’t care what the job is they’ll take it. IMO based on Pearl’s interview he truly feels that way about Indiana. Same with Dusty May

Not sure, but IU offered.
Weirdly enough I’m not overly excited about him based on the recruiting analysis I read. Seems to me like he would remind be of Booker from Michigan State.

Then he needs to move now unless he's a complete idiot. It's going to get a whole lot worse for Scott if his targets are all gone next year, the 2025 class is a bust which it will be, and Woody leaves an empty roster for the next coach which he will.
You’re spot on because think about this:
We probably need 7 to 8 new players:
Returning players most likely:
Newton (injured all year)
Galloway
Leal
Sparks (unfortunately)
Cupps (maybe)
Mgbako (fingers crossed he comes back)
Reneau (debating accepting our NIL Offer so 50/50)So at minimum we have 8 open scholarships
Plus for 2025:
We are guaranteed next year to lose
Galloway
Leal
Sparks
Mgbako
And probably Reneauand zero 2025 commits.
let’s say 4 of the 8 new players we get have eligibility remaining in 2025 then after next year we will need 9 new players.

Well the AD isn’t committed to Woodson. That’s just reality. Also Dolson didn’t inform the media of anything
I’m hoping he sees how far Auburn goes and what Woodson does in the portal. If Woodson doesn’t do anything by time Auburn is out then he gets rid of Woodson and that’s why he hasn’t came out and said anything yet

Yeah, I know we’re free to discuss and ignore (as we should be), but this is a damn IU board and Jack Benter keeps popping up at the top of the recruiting threads. Is there a way to block an entire thread!? 😂
Yeah not sure why admins don’t just move it to general discussion doesn’t make much sense considering no one wants this thread to continue but Purdue members

Khani Rooths just decommitted from Michigan...
Was he interested in IU first go around?

I know we have a transfer portal thread but people were asking if we could start a thread for players that IU might be interested in.

When: Today March 15th around 9 PM EST (0100Z)
Where: Simon-Target Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota
TV: BTN
Not gonna go through the normal exercise, because we know them pretty well...Need to stop Tominaga, Williams, Lawrence, and Wilcher from the outside. We have a distinct advantage in the paint, so we have to exploit it...
Play defense, especially on the perimeter, and use our bigs...
We can win this one...
GO HOOSIERS!
I was shocked we went into zone yesterday. Wonder if zone would work better in this game.

Going back and rewatching that. Did you see the Penn player totally hook and hold Ware? that crap was all game. Why does everyone get away with that EXCEPT IU?
I made a comment on Twitter last night that I don’t understand why Ware doesn’t get the calls that other big guys like Edey get. The contact with no foul called against him is insane. Woodson makes enough money that he already should’ve publicly called out the refs to start getting his guy some calls.

No joke...I think we win the game by 15 + points if Reneau sits on the bench. He was that bad. And again, every shot he takes is a better look taken away from Ware.
Yeah we would’ve been better off if he fouled out for once lol

And if it helps to apply sodium to this open incision, Ohio state even fired their coach mid season it was so bad.
Stings just a bit.

It's starting to look like the only person MR will pass to is Ware. Leal & Taco are wide open on the perimeter while he's getting triple teamed, and he forces up a horrible shot.
Except on that last possession when he clearly should’ve passed to ware because then ware has two options. 1. Drive and score due to mismatch or when they collapse on him kick to Leal for wide open three.

Always love hearing game winners from this man.
I don’t understand MR’s thought process there. Ware had his guy completely dominated for an easy two points there.

IU secured a NIT…. Bid
What stinks is this. We beat Iowa and Ohio St. And yet they will get the two “seeded” spots from the big ten because of the stupid NET. So basically the NET screws us in both tournaments UGHHHH
