Edey vs. Tshiebwe isn't a very good comparison IMO. Edey falls into the once in lifetime type of players. His production and dominance of the paint area is something that hasn't been seen in sometime. His numbers speak for itself. I agree every time any program gets a tweener (NBA vs. college) talent like TJD that stays longer than most it's a real boost. Edey to me was an exception. I wonder if he hit the NIL free market what he would had been offered for his covid year?
$2 million?

Rick Ray went to Clemson because Purdue was too cheap
MP played chicken and won
Tiller had exactly the same problems with Burke. But he was too old to go start over somewhere else.

I'm not so sure it's regressing as much as it how much and what Purdue needed him to do.
Part of it, is he simply doesn’t have the time to work on his game that other players do.

I'd prefer a better rim protector than Furst, he does rebound well, though. Don't see the Purdue to IU thing happening.
I normally wouldn’t either, but he is a student first, athlete second, and he is going to be a doctor. If he’s done with his undergrad in may or August…

A kid with 3 years of eligibility left transferring OUT of his dad’s program? 🤔
It’s Memphis, so the answer is “probably”, but is that a sign that fit is about to hit the shan in Memphis?

I bet NC State throws a bag at him plus they are showing him on a national stage how he can be used
Insane they are hosting recruits while preparing for a final four game.

Dammit. I have to agree with you. Never thought she was a looker.
Even in Heat?

That should also line the Super Bowl up with Presidents Day.
Or move it to Saturday. You can’t tell me ratings would go down.

Couple of former Big 10 players in the portal...Meechie Johnson (Ohio State) and Jamal Mashburn Jr (Minnesota)...
I liked Johnson a lot as a freshman...I couldn't believe he hit the portal the first time...
Sounds like Diebler may have reached back out to Johnson thru 3rd parties… is that tampering if he played for you until a year ago ?

UConn will have Final Four experience in their favor. Whil UConn was celebrating the Championship last season, the Boilers were trying to figure out where FDU's campus is located and how close is it to St. Peter's.
UConn is the best team. And they probably have the best coach. But in a 40 minute game, who knows…

Just skimming, IU did have some years where they were +100...But 1992-93 was the only one I see that came close to 231 (226)...
And that's not going into the 34 games out of 35 where the opponents (allegedly) fouled more than Purdue did...
The other teams coach basically said, “yeah, we fouled him every time.”
Sorta like what Chrissie Collins said Northwestern was going to do to Edey the day before we played them.
Don’t worry: the foul discrepancy will be over in a week or two.

That same article shows exactly why you don’t build in free agency. Grigson made huge swings and effectively ended Lucks career. The Sneed deal was good to pass on. We aren’t a corner away….let the Titans make that mistake. They make huge splash in free agency and are still the worst team in the division. Also Ballard made a big swing by trading a first to SF, making moves for Wentz and Ryan…he has taken big swings. It’s a silly article…and pointless because Ballard isn’t going anywhere right now.
Maybe he’s not going anywhere because the Irsay girls realize that not too many competent GMs want to put up with their dad’s meddling and drama.

I think this is a good hire for Michigan. Curious who lands at Louisville.
They’ll whiff on Scott Drew next.

There’s a good chance he takes the St. Louis job but he hasn’t made a definitive decision yet.
I think that would be a mistake.

No clue but if Odunze or Nabers falls to 9 I think you have to take one of them. If not...trade back to a spot where you still get one of the 3 edge guys to be opposite of Sweat while getting more picks.
What about a tackle to protect Williams?

Certainly not what we envisioned but you can't bring both to camp. Bears decided to cut ties and move along at whatever they could get. Caleb needs to know it's his team.
Again from a trade perspective it's not what we could have got....but I'd also suggest the other 31 teams in the league don't think that highly of Fields.
Deal had to be made and now it's over.
Will they sit at 9 and take BPA? Or trade back to replace the 2nd rounder they gave up ?

I’m OK with it. Giving up a day 2 pick AND premium long term money for a corner with supposed long term knee questions isn’t a great idea.

Justin Fields and Russell Wilson on the Steelers. Just like we all thought headed into 2024.
And the Bears got even less for Fields than I thought.

Hope he does. If he’s a late bloomer like his dad, it will only help him.

If Jack played at New Albany there'd be no questioning him. For some reason, even though we play HANDS DOWN, the best 2A schedule in the state... some still are? Laughable.
I assume Jack grew up an IU fan?
How is his defense, both individually and as part of the team’s defense? That will determine whether he sees the court next year.

Meant Mick Cronin. Heard that's their #1. They want Mack back?
Oh … Mick. Yeah he’s a great coach. From the Midwest, has recruited the area… Still young enough to stay while…
Only problem I could see is now that UCLA is in the B1G, they SHOULD be able to match any offer from another school. But who knows if they’ll want to. They’re arrogant enough to think that coaches should want to take a pay cut to come there.
