Big picture - three more at home and three on the road (Northwestern, MSU, purdue). Realistic - win tonight, take care of home court, and at worst you go 4-2 and finish overall 22-9 (13-7). Not bad. Find a way to take another one or two on the road, don't take a bad lose in the conf tourney, and your big dance seeding is looking very good. Hopefully playing close to home (Columbus, OH?).

Game 1 was decided on turnovers and FTs. If IU doesn't turn it over at a high rate and doesn't foul like crazy they will win this game. And this is a big game. It likely comes down to how effective they are in taking the ball out of TJDs hands. They beat Edey to death with the double team and he folded like a cheap tent with turnovers. Can TJD play better?

Armom Franklin is having a good season

IU better hit on the portal or convince some to switch after coaching changes. Look at the conference rosters. Not many have as many key pieces leaving to graduation. Granted, there could be a surprise here and there and you never know with transfers. Still, other team's have better roster balance as it stands today. Some bigs are just juniors, incuding Edey and Dickinson.

Kopp is more often than not in the right position defensively. He's a step or two slower than a lot of the guys he guards but his effort is there and he finds a way to compete. He's not a "stopper" but does enough. If anything, CMW needs to find a way to get him some shots other than waiting for Trayce to pass out of the double team.

I can't disagree with the what if question. They could lose if he doesn't play 40 last night. But the bigger question is, what do you do in the conf tourney? Can he play 40 in every game for two or three days straight? Then I wonder, if you can't trust Banks or Gunn to play now, can you play them in the post season? LD is apparently done. No guarantees on Race. Geronimo visibly working on the calf last night. It's asking a lot of seven guys to finish up the season and two tournaments, so somethings got to give.

In position to be in position. You definitely want to get a conference tourney bye. That seems very possible barring a collapse.

Gutsy win. Tried to hand it away on offense late but it was a fight uphill all the way. Great D late. Must figure out how to get TJD more rest. The last two games he was very tired at the end. Shows up at the line.

JHS with the jumper and zero teammates under the basket. Two point game and trailing. Honestly. Begging to lose. Making it so much harder than it needs to be.
