But you're forgetting the cardinal rule of the Indiana administration...no one bigger than the program ever again no matter what.

Would never be hired in a million years.

Do you truly think that would be the 'reason' IU would have no interest in Calipari?

Or, are you willing to consider the fact that there could be multiple factors why he would not be hired, that are both beyond what you perceive his 'bigness' may be, and that those reasons have legitimacy behind them.

Danny Sprinkle to Washington. I knew we could get an actual Montana St connection on here now. From Montana St to Washington inside of 2 years.

Amazing Crean doesn't get a call from a few of these places.

Hmmm.  This seems to imply my love of  Montana St. sports is not real.

Here's all I have to say about that.

Go.........whatever the heck their mascot is!

    I'm a true fan.

Bold strategy to blame the refs in a game you lost by 39. Not to mention one where Purdue scored 57 in the second half with Edey only scoring 2 of the 57.

I might be wrong, but I believe that 'photo' was making the rounds in the first half.  So, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they did not know it was a 39 point loss at the time.

I personally feel that most of the fouls called on USU were legit.  That said, this 'photo' is nothing to get worked up about.  You might be making it a bigger deal than it needs to be.

Not implying. Stating as fact he is too big, slow, an unathletic to play B1G basketball. I heard nothing about his work ethic either way but the result speak for themselves. He did not change his body at all in the time he was with IU. That would be a choice.

I'm too short, old, slow, and unathletic to play B1G basketball.  That shouldn't make me free game on a message board for people to question my dedication to stay in shape.

Some people just have a different level of natural athleticism and ability than others.

Beilein went to the NBA to coach the CAVS. The rumors at the time was Warde didn’t do anything to lock Beilein up and give him the support he was looking for. Same with Bakich the baseball coach who left. It was also rumored that Wardes top coaching choice was Ed Cooley. When it got leaked there was backlash and he pivoted and hired Howard. Howard never adjusted to the admission requirements at Michigan. Had Shannon Jr and Caleb Love but admission credit issues cost him. He targeted talent but not talent that would make sense given the admission circumstances.

They were never going to keep Bakich. And they made a helluva hire in Tracy Smith.

This Bakich guy needs to get a new last name.  I keep misreading it as 'Dakich', and am at risk of losing my breakfast every time that happens.

Nebraska waxed, MSU waxed, UW waxed, NW waxed..

Purdue, ILL haven't played anyone yet.

Embarrassing enough our league only got 6 bids. And only 2 Top 4 seeds....

We can't even be a top 3 team in a historically awful B1G.

The men's bracket is going better than the women's bracket for the Big Ten.

Sparks could have stayed, dropped some weight to become quicker and likely would have received more playing time on a team in need of size next season. He was not willing.  Good luck to him back at Ball State.

Out of curiosity, are you implying he did not put in the work, and if so, what are you basing that on?

KenPom may know what it's doing.  Here are 13 of the Sweet 16.  For the record, San Diego St is 20, Clemson is 23, and N.C. State is the outlier at 52.

Purdues Board of Trustees and the NCAA Selection committee are one and the same. Talking about a cherry picked bracket to try and get the skid marks a banner.

Going to defend the Boilers a bit here.  According to KenPom, your observation is invalid.  Including the Boilers, all 4 of the remaining teams in Purdue's region are among the Top 12 in KenPom.  Take out Auburn, who lost, and that's 4 of the Top 11 remaining.

No other region can make that claim.

I'm all for making fun of the Boilers, but claims such as the NCAA is handing them a championship belong on one of those third-rate tv conspiracy shows.  It could air right after the Elvis and JFK are alive and living together on an island episode.

If the Boilers win the whole thing, and I dont think they will, they will have deserved it just as much as Indiana did in '76, '81, and '87

"Our university website crashed last night. That's what this does. We also sold $8,000 worth of t-shirts to Louisville last night. Think about that! Honest to God. They buy the t-shirts and they put the credit card and... Louisville, Louisville, Louisville. It wasn't the same person. I don't know, next year when Louisville and Kentucky play, I don't know if everyone is going to show up in their Oakland shirt or what? I have no idea, but it's crazy to think about."

What? They blew that lead!  Thanks for the heads up.  Will turn it back on.

Purdue to me is the most impressive team in the tourney so far and the temperature will rise in the Bloomington administration and nepo baby donor offices as a result.   Pam Whitten may not realize what that will look like.

Yes.  They blew it.  And, I actually posted that when they still had a 5 point lead.

I didn’t know until today that Bryce is the son-in-law of Keith Thibodeaux, the actor who played Little Ricky on I Love Lucy.

This has nothing to do with basketball, but I found it interesting nonetheless. Carry on. :coffee:

i didn't know that either until D.B. Cooper posted it on a message board.
