btownqb
Oh.. and the OL needs to be better consistently for what we are paying it. I have faith this will happen.

There are some very good, to excellent free agents at that position available. Redo a contract or two to create more space and sign a long- term solution

Redo a contract or two to create more space and sign a long- term solution I disagree. I think you can find a fine upgrade there in FA without committing huge, huge money. Fisher wasn't pathetic.. you just need better. Agree on the less mobile, really no one could make an argument there... buuuuuut... the OL was bad early because of injuries and then awful the last two games... in between, it did play very well. Plus.. Matt Ryan flat out gets rid of the ball quicker then Wentz.. he does... couple that with using Hines more and again a marginal better LT w/more consistent line play in general.... that's the idea and to me it makes a ton of sense. Back to LT... I don't think they can afford to spend any sort of substantial long term money at LT because of the contracts of LG, C, and RT... sorry but something has to give. btownqb
I'm not saying I love the LT situation, Ballard has said that... but I just don't think the money is there to commit long term.

If that’s the way this plays out, certainly an interesting strategy… Build what is supposed to be one of the best O-lines in the league, but go cheap on what is acknowledged to be its most important position. For now.. as 2 years. You can probably start next year at looking to replace them. Weren't you also wanting to get rid of Wentz? They still have money. And,unfortunately, caused a delay on the WR front as well. To the point that what’s left either isn’t a clear cut #1 —see Landry or Fuller, or comes with baggage—OBJ. They could have gotten Winston, a younger guy who needs to play his best for a long term contract, at considerably less than Ryan. Could have done that last week and then at least had a story to tell the better receivers as to who would be throwing them the ball. Could have done that and brought Armstead in as well. Guess will see if Ballard was right. Hope so, for the Horseshoe’s sake

We aren't paying big money to a LT until we aren't paying one of the other three. We should be drafting one in 2023. There wasn't a clear #1 that reached FA in regards to FA. Seeking6
I don't think Desmond Ridder will make it to the Colts in the 2nd round but I think Ballard is sick and tired of playing musical chairs at QB and if he's there I'd take him. Great speed, arm,etc...and I think he's the most pro ready qb of this year's draft. Problem is teams like Detroit, Seattle,etc...have multiple picks in front of the Colts and they'll need a long term qb solution as well.
