Not a specific song but more of a music comment. Appears the musicians need to start making $ again.

Just in the last few weeks and today I've bought Bon Jovi at Gainbridge, Stadium Tour tickets for Motley Crue, Poison, Def Leppard, and Joan Jett at Lucas Oil.....and now Sting is at the Palladium in early May.

I love all kinds of music but something so cool about seeing them up close.

I've seen Def Leppard a few times and Motley Crue once with Aerosmith. Good show and good times!

My first concert was at Five Seasons Center with Cinderella opening for Bon Jovi in Cedar Rapids. Second was LA Guns opening for Def Leppard at Carver Hawkeye. Not sure why parents thought it was fine to send their 10-12 friends in a few cars West on I-80 for concerts while in high school but it worked for us!

My 3rd was NWA in Peoria....that one didn't end up great but was still awesome. Haha. The timeline still fits though hard rock to rap....just like every Midwestern kid in the late 80's to early 90's.

Concerts are still fun but man that was a stretch for the music world. At least in our little corner of the world they were big time events....let alone the stadium tours that became popular.

I had come home from Greenland about a week before. I had 2 weeks 2 pack my family up and be in Florida by late October. Our neighbors surprised us with tickets as a going away present. I'm pretty sure we closed down LaCleade's Landing that night 🤐

Awesome area. Used to be a perfect riverfront bar...I haven't been back to the STL in awhile. Last I heard it's the Arch and Casinos but still a cool place/vibe.

My first concert was Def Leppard (in the round) at Notre Dame in 92. A group of 6 of us went. No opening act...just them. It was great show. I saw them at Alpine Valley the next summer with Ugly Kid Joe opening.

I am the youngest of four children, so my parents were a little older. My mom was leery about us going to the concert (and apparently thought Ozzy was in Def Leppard) and asked us if they were the ones who were biting the heads off of bats.

This summer we are going to Motley Crue, Poison,  Def Leppard in Cincy. Morgan Wallen in Indy and if we can Metallica at Harvard Stadium.

Got my Crue/Poison tickets this morning for Lucas Oil. Weird that it's on a Tuesday and starts at 4pm but oh well!

That will be a blast. If it were on a weekend we would go but instead we are going to Cincy to see that show. I have been wanting to see Metallica again for some time but last week my wife said I really think we should take Ayden to Boston to see them in May. I guess its a good idea😀. They just announced dates for Buffalo and Pittsburg but both on school nights I am hesitant about the Boston show because its a festival and not sure how long they will play.

Have you seen Motley Crue before

Saw Crue twice but it was back in the day when Vince could still hit some notes. Theater of Pain and Dr Feelgood tours. I really like Poison too.

Will be cool just to hear the music live one last time.

Enjoy Metallica. One of my favorites as well. Have watched them I think 4x but nothing recent.

We saw Crue 10 or 12 years ago at Conseco and I just happen to have the best seats on the house when Tommy brought out the Boobie cam. About 8 or so early 20's decided that they wanted to be on camera and were jumping for joy. AS was I!!!

Been since 96 that I saw Metallica

My first time for Metallica was at Market Square Arena. Enter Sandman tour. Drove up from Bloomington with a few guys and been a fan ever since. I just looked at their tour schedule...weird schedule for them. Don't know why they don't have more US dates?

My Metallica story is that a friend of ours worked at Deer Creek and she told us which gate to go through way before scanners. She gave us Moody Blues tix from show the night before and we went through the gate then she had us talk with a radio station that was giving away Gold Circle tix. They told us which seat had not been claimed and we were able to sit row 3 center stage for nothing. It took a full 3 days for my hearing to come back. We almost missing ONE as the encore and I would have been livid if that had happened.

Saw Crue on Shout at the Devil and Theater of Pain. I think it was the latter that had the insane revolving/upside down drumset for Tommy Lee.
