Don’t think they’ll be ranked anywhere close to that now. They were 6, lost two road games in OT and close at Purdue, so only dropping to 11 is pretty reasonable. The two losses this week will knock them into the 20s if not completely unranked.

KenPom has Purdue by 19 and gives us a 4% chance at winning.

I don’t know honestly, but I know if we had to pick a new coach today I’d be underwhelmed with him. Not saying a strong finish to the year and another run couldn’t change that, but I need to know last year wasn’t a fluke.

He could. There is a unique vacuum in coaching in terms of championship coaches right now. Unless I missed something, you’ve only got 7 active coaches with titles, two of which are Pitino and Izzo. Those two are getting up there in age. Whats my point? Someone is going to hire one of these coaches in their 40s and get multiple titles. Schools like Michigan, Ohio State, and Louisville having openings right now with their resources and history worries me.

Dougie still is a great shooter, he just was on a young/bad team that was never going to give a guy like him a ton of minutes over playing their youth. I think he is still a knockdown shooter that is going to run around for 20 minutes per game and hit some threes and a few back cuts like he always has been. He's not buddy, but we really don't need him to be.

I personally wouldn't want Matta.... Butler is probably in the tournament as of today. My wife is an alum, they're a fun team to watch - my post really had nothing to do with a comparison of IU.

Right - they can either be used in a situation like that or to move up in the first. They're not bad to have.

It would be great if they can get hot and finish the year in the top 75. They do have the talent to do it.
