  1. Thanks, it wouldn't load for me. This is a non-IU guy calling out how good Woody is at drawing up plays. I've personally never been worried about him from an X & O standpoint but I know some have.

  4. I'm with you - it was perfectly reasonable to be doubtful with the lack of information we had. I think everyone was down on it at first for the most part, some came around quicker than others, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with needing to see more evidence IMO.
  5. I know this is not the fantasy football thread, but I took over a rebuild last year in a dynasty league and managed to put together a rookie class for this year of Olave, Alec Pierce, Drake London, Jameson Williams, Dameon Pierce, Brian Robinson, and then a couple other fliers I am pumped about long-term. But yes, Olave is an absolute stud.
  6. Right... that strengthens my point, not yours. Do you realize that or no?
  7. You question me all the time, I hardly see a difference
  8. Let's assume Carlson is 100% on extra points and the KC kicker who just missed one that length is 80%. Let's assume a two point conversion is 50/50 for both teams. Let's assume LV would score with not enough time left for KC to come back and kick a field goal (a very favorable assumption for your argument, but I'll grant it for sake of discussion). If KC kicks the extra point, 6/10 times the game goes to OT. Let's say OT is 50/50, so KC loses 3 out of 10 games with your decision. If KC goes for two, 5/10 times the game goes to OT and with the same 50/50 outcome KC loses 2.5 out of 10 games with the decision that was made. So using assumptions that are pretty favorable to your argument, the math is still pretty clear that your 5% more likely to use with your method. When we look at how much time was actually left and that it was extremely likely KC would get the ball back after a LV score, that weighs the decision even more heavily in favor of going for 2. Going for two up 7 in the fourth quarter is an absolute no brainer that every coach should do. Especially if you have a shaky kicker.
  9. Agreed. I don't think the Windy City 5 will happen, and I firmly believe without that we would have been like a 9 seed last year. So yeah, a team like that the peaked at the end of the year, returned every single key player, and brought in a great recruiting class fits the profile of a team leaping into the top 10-15 the following year.
  10. It's the loser league, don't we expect all the teams to score less?
  11. Do you consider yourself to have played sports?
  12. Why is that a bad decision? Explain it to me like I'm 10 years old.
  13. What team returns players that do check those boxes? It’s lazy and unfair to knock IU for that when there is no one else that returns the guys that fit the profile you’re knocking us for. If everyone was projecting us to jump teams that had done that then it’s absolutely a fair criticism, but we aren’t really competing at the top with any of the same teams (in terms of key players) that were there last year.
  14. Here’s a video that has Teddy in frame from the time he got hit until he was told to leave the field. I have no issue saying I think the spotter was wrong now that I’ve seen this. https://twitter.com/ruthiepolinsky/status/1579572697855676416?s=46&t=c35wUKrKK_KClxtVpAcY3A
  15. Yes, I got it from my eyes. The reason it hasn't been established is because of the fact that he went back in the game after the stumble where he was clearly concussed, and it changed how he had to be monitored and evaluated after the game. The dudes head whiplashed and slammed into the ground, then he couldn't get up afterwards. What was that, if not a head injury? It certainly wasn't a back injury.
  16. I actually don't think they're fair points, I think they're lazy points that ignore just how close we were last year. "Michigan" collapse also ignores good IU played, but I digress.
  17. Brendan sounds like an idiot. We brought in the best recruiting class in the conference, but yeah, largely the same team just because we happened to also bring back our three best players.
  18. Tua also passed all protocols. That's why they added the spotters because despite Tua passing all protocols, he clearly was concussed. If saying a guy who is unable to stand up straight can't play is too cautious then so be it, I don't personally agree. Now if we are saying Bridgewater never wobbled, I'm all ears for that and am more than willing to say there were major mistakes made. But so far no one has shown a video of Bridgewater after the play that I've seen.
  19. I agree, neither of us know. I'm well aware of that and approaching my point of view that I don't know, and you are making accusations. KOB Position = I don't know, there's no evidence either way Steuben Position = I know and what happened was wrong, but there is no evidence either way.
  20. So he passed all the on-field tests that Tua passed, that led to them implementing the spotter that could remove people? For the record, you're the one claiming the spotter acted in error when there is no evidence that happened. Even the Dolphins haven't claimed that to my knowledge.
  21. How can you call something an overreaction when you didn't even see it? The point of the rule isn't to be 100% right tin removing players from the game, it's to make sure they don't leave players in the game when they shouldn't. Short of seeing a video of what the spotter saw I'm not sure how we can say he overreacted to what Bridgewater did, and I haven't seen the Dolphins claim Bridgewater didn't stumble. Perhaps the spotter rushed to judgement, but perhaps that's exactly what you're doing. We simply don't know.
  22. Bridgewater had a potential head injury. I still haven't seen a video of the stumble that led to him being ruled out (would love to if someone has it), but I have no issue with guys getting held out for that moving forward after what happened to Tua. I'll ask again, are you all for player safety or no?
