I'm not at all trying to be snarky here.... I really don't understand how the "league" has as much influence as some are saying. If a different style of play with a different make-up of "player types" is the reason the Big 10 schools are not having success in the tournaments (I'm including the NIT here as well) then wouldn't a program making those adjustments have more success in conference play as well? For example, would that Miami team not have been successful in the Big 10 this year?

What a ridiculous statement. Not every player shows their emotions on the court the same way. There have been plenty of good/great IU players that played with a more calm/focused demeanor. I've only witnessed one player in all my years watching IU that I questioned if they really even cared to be there and that was Noah Vonleh.

Not a disappointing season IMO given losing X for almost all of it. When the brackets came out. I told my son, Miami would be the absolute worst matchup for us. I will say I'm very disappointed about the defensive rebounding effort tonight though. 4 guys (including Trayce) just standing around while they have 1 or 2 guys absolutely crashing.

Obviously Howard was doing all the coaching there at the end.

Got to enjoy 40 minutes of good basketball from my team tainted by 35 minutes of the announcers talking about how "battle tested" Kent State was because of two losses. Play the $#@&! Big10 and then talk to me about being battle tested.

Bingo! Players have always had a choice to transfer. In the past, it would cost them a year, with the new rules, there is little to nothing deterring a player from leaving if they are "unhappy" and there is nothing the coach/school can do about it. Given that, I have no issue with coaches asking/suggesting/implying guys to look for another home if things aren't working.

USC's offense in the second half is painful to watch. Dribble around forever and either turn it over or take a terrible fallaway. MSU's defense certainly has something to do with it but, yikes!

UVA had a timeout... you get trapped in the corner you call timeout. Maybe he wasn't sure and didn't want to pull a Chris Webber?

Not to mention that our offensive "philosophy" will be very different next year (i.e. it won't all flow through TJD). Woody spoke of guys "playing their roles" a lot when asked about specific players this year. Player's roles will change next year in addition to their development.
