We missed Galloway. Need some motion on offense.

His handles aren’t pretty but he takes care of the rock regardless and gets downhill sneaky fast which draws the defense. The fact that he’s pass first when he drives to the basket is crucial and paying dividends. I wish our PGs would share in that philosophy

The only transfer QB’s that I know IU has had contact with that are still available are Casey Thompson, Cameron Ward, Zach Calzada, and Connor Bazelak. Emory Jones still hasn’t officially entered the portal and I don’t know that he would actually be a target even if he did.

Those are all great options. Zach Calzada would be a huge upgrade, simply because he has experience going up against and beating the best in the country and you can’t put a price on that. Cam Ward while a bit of a wildcard is getting a lot of Lamar Jackson comparisons and there’s little that’s more exciting than that. Here’s to hoping Coach Allen can land one or the other

I saw a post earlier this week that said TJD couldn't pass.  Just saying, I think his passing is pretty good this year.

Did you watch the ND game? He gently (some might say lazily) lobbed two passes to the defense and got ripped by the commentators. He’s 2nd only to XJ in turnovers and his passing is a big reason why

SC makes zero sense. Just signed Rattler and a 2022 4* QB

They will sell Bailey on Rattler going pro after a year. If anything it’s a plus as you get an NFL bound (allegedly) QB to mentor you year one and get you ready to take over

Did you watch any of our new WRs highlights? Looks like the kid is very gifted out of the slot. I love it.

I feel like WR can sometimes be a tough position to recruit because if they don’t come from a powerhouse program with elite level QBs in a WR friendly system there may not be much to go off of and thus don’t get the same attention or adequate ranking.
That’s one position I don’t even bother having an opinion from a recruiting perspective…I’ll leave that to the guys who watch film every day

The 1st guy I think of is Cody Zeller.  Lived in the paint. Didnt develop any outside game at all. Good passer.  He's now on his 3rd? NBA contract.

What's the major difference between TJD and Cody?  Other than 4 outside shooters, i dont see much of one while at IU.

2-3 inches (I don’t think TJD is a true 6’9 but we shall see come combine time) and a bigger frame, passing ability and midrange jumper come to mind. Cody isn’t light years ahead of TJD and if he were 6’8 he’d be out of the league

IU fans have a tendency to overvalue the talent on the team. We always have people assuming our best player is an NBA draft pick.

I can’t think of one NBA forward that you can point to and say “TJD would/could be of that cloth”. He doesn’t have NBA size, shooting ability, handles, or quickness/explosiveness. He’s a very good college player but unless he develops an excellent outside shot he’ll have little opportunity at the next level.

I definitely didn’t think they were your best RB/DL/CB but rather that they’re going to provide some depth for Purdue. Pretty sure one of the main reasons Lewis transferred was because his cousin is a freshman on our squad and they wanted to play together.

I assumed you didn’t…I was mocking your GBI fan forum and the overall attitudes of many of the Purdue fans I know.

My guess is he has been talking to Purdue players that he’s close with and has found out the roster situation. Tough to enforce tampering when he could easily say he talked to a guy like Broc Thompson who helped him realize he should transfer there.

Purdue Fans: Indina (pu fans never know when to let a bad joke die) Sucks!!! POTFH!!! Little Brother!!!!! Irrelevant Program!!!!!!

IU Player Hits the Portal to find playing time: Great fit for us!!!! Love the get!!! He was their best RB, DL, CB!!!

Your “never has been” program and moronic fanbase are a total clown show

Then where would you rank them? Personally, I don't care what the score is. Did you find a way to win the game. There are no bad wins and there are no good losses in my book. Dealing with college kids you are going to get many ups and downs. If you find a way to grind out a win when your not focused in and playing well....that is actually a good thing.

Anywhere from 4-8 would have been appropriate. My original comment was more to the disparity of others dropping 10-12 spots for similar losses versus Purdue’s 2. Dropping only two spots after a loss should be reserved for losses to teams in the top 10, not a Geo Baker-less 4-4 Rutgers team.

In the end, it’ll all work itself out. Just thought it was weird, especially given how Purdue struggled after the loss.

As of now, the top 7 classes in the B1G are from the East and the bottom 7 are from the West. What a joke.

Utterly shocked by Iowa and Wisconsin’s recruiting efforts, Nebraska as well but it’s understandable. Do these schools have a scholarship crunches?

Barstool Sports is reportedly behind the reason the #1 player in the class Travis Hunter flipped from FSU to Jackson St.....$3M. New world gang!

Have to imagine it’s gonna be tough for this kid to shine at Jacksonville State at CB. Opposing teams will avoid throwing in his direction. I’d be willing to bet he’ll be transferring to a power 5 school in a year or two. Unless you’re a QB this kinda move doesn’t work in football but I’m shocked there’s not more of this in basketball.

To Purdue's credit...their resume speaks for itself. Who has UK and the others beat? Fact is they were in their ranking based on assumptions about their programs and how they finished last year and their coaches.....now we see what they really are on the floor....and well there should be a big adjustment....maybe should go even further. There is no doubt despite Purdue's stumble of late they are a top 10 team...and have proved it on the court so far this year in their wins.

I don’t argue that they shouldn’t be top 10 but when other one loss teams drop 12 and they drop 2 it’s a little weird. They were one bucket in regulation away from being the 3rd or 4th team in AP Rankings history to move into the #1 slot only to lose both games the following week. They have two good wins at the moment but if Villanova doesn’t get it together they’re left with UNC. Even Purdue fans were shocked they didn’t drop further

Lucas is also 10.6 in the 100

Is he being brought in as RB or WR? He’s gonna have put on some serious lbs to his frame if he’s gonna line up in the backfield full time. Wouldn’t hate having a Rondell Moore type hybrid though

Is it possible that Bedford could move back to tackle?

His future is at guard so Im sure he and the staff will do everything they can to keep him there but I think it largely depends on Sales and if Carter Smith is what everyone says he is and can put on 25lbs in the offseason we may not need Bedford at tackle

Hey you could be 100% right. I have no clue.

The statement that I bolded.. how do you know that? Legitimately just asking.

CTA did an interview and was asked about the OL issues, saying changes needed to be made and he was going to make them…the only change the next week was Carpenter moved into Katic’s starting role. So it’s an assumption on my part but a confident one.

Of the 3 true FR.. will any be on campus in Jan?

I do agree about the younger guys- Carpenter, Sales, Benson, Holtz could absolutely unseat some incumbent starters.

I will say, I need to go back and really watch the games to how everyone else played (Jones was evident he was awful). But.. Bedford was HM all league, so he has to be a solid a guard.

Now.. if you think about the last two games, oddly enough, we ran the ball pretty darn well.

Minnesota 140 yards and against Purdue our RBs were over 100 yards. Just saying OL is the ultimate "unit".. literally if one of them messes up a play, it will probably not end well. Especially when you're running with walkons 🤣

Jones, Powell & Katic were the problem from my vantage point. It was pretty ridiculous Katic or Powell started over Carpenter as it’s obvious to everyone including CTA that Carpenter is better. Bedford has always been a stud and Haggard was solid. Hopefully Sales is ready to go full time next year and we can find an opportunistic transfer, otherwise the two freshmen will have to learn on the fly.
