Just made too much sense.

No counting of chickens before hatched, but adding him and Dingle makes this a really good looking squad on paper.
Yeah, getting those two, I would think, would pretty much put us back to where we were last year. Different template, but similar talent.

I’m just going to be cautiously optimistic about this recruitment, we will see what happens
It's tough to turn down a virtually guaranteed starting spot with a veteran point guard and pretty damn good big guys.
We are a good team that just lost a bunch of scoring, and a few guys to the NBA. That's gotta be tough to turn down.

I know I'm old school, but those videos things would just feel weird to me

Yes, he isn't the same type player as Sparks and Malik, I don't think. I still don't think he's an option once Ware commits.
Will be interesting to see how they fill the roster. I think there's much bigger needs, but Deloach could allow some interesting lineups. Deloach at the 4 and Ware at the 5 would allow this team to get out and fly in transition.

I would hope a guard who can shoot the 3-ball. I really like Jalen DeLoach's game but he is the same player as Sparks and Malik. Of the guys we have been mentioned with maybe Cormac Ryan, Quincy Olivari, Steven Ashworth, or Brady Dunlap.
Deloach is a much different player, physically. Much quicker, more explosive athlete. Limited offensively.

So we can't rebound, but we've got a 6'8" athletic freshman on the bench that did well in the very limited minutes in the first half? Would it hurt to put him in?

Sorry I refuse to put this on the refs. We are being absolutely outworked on the glass.
Yep. 100%

Galloway watched that Schifino long brick go right in front of him

Miami gets away with a ton of ticky tack crap on both ends that affects the game.
Kind of like a DB in football. They won't call a flag every time, so just keep doing it

Interested to see if Banks could be a sleeper defender. Length and quickness to stop these guys driving at the rim?

Great win.
Our guards need to be better/smarter with double teaming the post. Bates has to quit swatting at the ball in the post.
Love seeing Banks get minutes. How awesome is that as a freshman, to see virtually zero minutes all season, then to start getting PT on a ranked team in February?

One of the worst flagrant calls I've seen. Offensive players should be thrilled to be fouled like that on an open break

I hope they intend to pump Woodson full of anti-aging nutrients, because no one on this bench is worthy of being a head coach

I disagree and he has had to bail out JG a lot because JG can’t defend so Woodson has had to use Kopp as the guy to switch defenders with JG. We mostly lost in Iowa because JG got DESTROYEDDD by Murray after Race went down. Today Houser destroyed JG again because JG gets caught ball watching and can’t multi task by watching his defender as well.
Never said he wasn't a better defender than Geronimo.

Ok, whatever. Did you not see Hauser torch JG today, and Hauser isn't even really wing offensively even though he spends time on the perimeter.
JG doesn't space the floor like Kopp does, Kopp is one of our best perimeter defenders and one of the smartest defenders. JG is the complete opposite of all of those things.
I guess i had just thought after the evidence of the last 3 games where JG has starred in his junkyard dog, athletic college 4 role that we had finally put to bed this notion that JG is somehow a wing, even though no coach has ever played him there?
I just don't buy Kopp as being one of our best perimeter defenders. His basketball IQ certainly helps, but the dude is slow. Schifino, Johnson, Galloway, and Bates (when he feels like it), are all way better defenders.

Same stuff. Different year. No leadership. Just a bunch of coddled players who've always been told how good they are. And this coaching staff does nothing but play to that sentiment. Want an example? Blaming a poor defensive showing on missing two players. Is it true? Somewhat. Were we the more talented team? Absolutely. But as a coach, I would NEVER go out and give excuses like that after a clearly lackluster effort. Weakness.
But hey, we've got NIL deals for all these guys. We are "cutting edge" in that department. It does nothing for the win column, but oh well.
We are how many years into this "rebuild", and we are still talking about effort.

I'll be honest, I didn't even know I made the playoffs until yesterday early afternoon. When I logged in it said something about Championship Quarterfinals.
Talk about an "Oh $hit" moment. Wish I would've got on sooner and grabbed a better defense.

I thought my team was dead in the water a few weeks ago. I'm still kickin

Reneau can/will play the 5 in the future. His game is polar opposite of the other two.
I'd say Reneau's use will be much like TJD's, with less explosiveness, but more of a jump shot... forcing big guys to guard him away from the basket.
All three could easily play a large amount of minutes on the same team.
