  1. I did some “research” on this looking at the 247 top players in Indiana. 2020 6. Caleb Murphy (West Washington) - IU 7. Kyle King (New Pal) - MSU 20. James Bomb (Bloomington) - Miami 2021 4. Zen Michalski (Floyd’s Knobs) - OSU 9. Austin Booker (Greenwood) - Minny 10. Luke Collinsworth (Brookville) - Cincy 12. Aaron Steinfeldt (Bloomington) - IU 17. Jaelin AVD (Moorsville) - Purdue 19. Zach Richards (Moorsville) - Purdue I’m not too concerned. Obviously rankings aren’t always perfect, but the recruits from the southern (very tough to get agreement on where the region even is) end up all over the place.
  2. Here is a quick summary of transfers by grade. Nothing too crazy there, but I’d be interested to see what it is like looking at transfers involving mid majors, majors, and different conferences.
  3. Coach K retiring after this season. Lots of coaching news this morning. I predict his replacement will be a former player.
  4. I don’t fully understand the strategy involved but d@mn it’s fun to watch the end come down to that.
  5. Doing some ribs, chicken, and sausage for the race.
  6. Got the race on radio by the grill and on the TV in the house. Anyone in the Louisville area have a good radio station? Mine is a little fuzzy. Im cheering for Carpenter, Daly, and the Ganassi cars.
  7. It’s funny to see IU ranked ahead of MSU here. I remember sitting in Memorial Stadium a few years ago and hearing MSU fans talk about how it was a small but ‘nice’ stadium. I’m still mad about it.
  8. As summer comes up I’ll mention a new game changer I found. An oven at a low setting (about 170 max) will keep things food safe while stopping the cooking process. This means you can rest food indefinitely in it. As you pull things off the smoker they can wait there until you’re ready to serve it. It isn’t new, but I just discovered it and it made things MUCH easier.
  9. I don’t know if I’ve posted yet, but it’s worth saying again if I have. I’m more excited for this season than any I can remember. We confirmed that our tickets have been ordered last week. I don’t know where we’ll be sitting but we will be there.
  10. Is that really unique to Crean, though? There have been rumors floating around for a while about the phone call Painter had with Collin Hartman after he committed to IU.
  11. I haven’t used the charcoal caddy or auto ignite but you can’t go wrong with either. I use a chimney starter and a separate charcoal bin so you can get by without them.
  12. I love cast iron, too. I made a rack to hang some pans from in the stairway to our basement and have 2 pieces hanging in the kitchen. My favorite place to find them are flea markets and yard sales.
  13. Not sure where else to put this. Another hire that has Indiana roots.
  14. Here is the 2021 set up. It was just under 40 when we got up around 7:30.
  15. I just did a quick google and there doesn’t seem to be much. He’s coming from NIU, was committed to Temple, is a grad transfer with 1 yer of eligibility, and seems to be a solid player.
  16. Could this be it? Looks like a good pickup. He’s been mentioned as one of the top DTs in the portal.
  17. Finally got my shiplap wall finished. It was quite the journey to get wrapped up.
  18. I found some onions that are past their prime and starting to grow a stalk. Can I plant them to grow some onions?
  19. What type of cooking do you want to do and for how many people? I’ll throw in another vote for Weber, but if you’re thinking only small groups or large groups it may be worth looking at an 18” or 26”. You can’t go wrong with the 22”, though. It can cook about anything as others have mentioned.
  20. This has to be one of the only situations where an assistant coach with highly ranked kids is hired and the fans are understanding of them not all following. I think that’s just proof of how good DeLand is.
  21. Mostly northeast Indiana. I think there’s still at least 1 in Fort Wayne. I was pumped to find one in Louisville but it’s closed since.
