  1. Hear ya, but WI was a freak team last year. They were something like 15-3 in games decided by 6 or fewer points. They were 4th in D1 in “luck” stat
  2. IDK. Nature of the beast. Arkansas lost 8 players, including 4 to the portal. They are bringing in 5 portal transfers and 6 recruits. Alabama had 5 enter the portal and 3 declare for the draft. They will have a 5 player recruiting class plus at least 2 portal transfers in. I think most view those two schools as a good place to play.
  3. It goes beyond %. IU was 311th in D1 with 5.9 made 3s per game. 2.4 of that was PS and RP. XJ and MK, the two best returning 3 pt shooters, each averaged 1.1 made three per game. IU and Rutgers tied for the fewest 3 pt attempts and fewest made 3s per game in B1G play.
  4. I thought the key for them last year (other than Cockburn returning), was the growth and maturity of Trent Frazier. Before Ayo emerged and Frazier was previously asked to be "the man", his game was very similar to Devonte Green's. But last year, when they were asking more of him again, he didn't revert back to being wildly inconsistent. He was still a streaky shooter, but his 2 pt % went from 35% in 2019-20 to 51% last year.
  5. Maybe they’ve noticed all the former KY players who improved a lot after leaving
  6. I'd love to see that soft as Charmin Zags team against the 89-90 UNLV team with Larry Johnson, Stacey Augmon, Greg Anthony, Anderson Hunt, etc.
  7. You mean the ones who say "University of Indiana"?
  8. Because he isn't 8 feet tall and ranked in the 300s
  9. You have to respect this… 😃 https://www.foxnews.com/great-outdoors/texas-bride-catches-huge-fish-wedding-night
  10. This is a must stop on the Big Sur coast. Also, if you can work in a whale watching trip out of Monterey, it’s amazing https://www.hikespeak.com/trails/mcway-falls-big-sur/
  11. I'm sure in his mind, that's a setup. Anything less than winning the B1G (after finishing 9th this year), will be a failure.
  12. I think the same could be said for Lander. Although different distractions, his focus is on being a TikTok star.
  13. IU’s interest in Dexter Dennis makes sense in this context
  14. No, his accountant. “If you ain’t Furst to get your tax refund , you’re last.”
  15. RP was a 2 guard playing out of position as a PG, with a backup PG (KL) on the bench. Yet, how many mpg were XJ and RP on the floor together?
  16. We only have two point guards, counting JHS. Can’t play him at the two and I have to believe a senior XJ will play 25-30 mpg
  17. If JHS can give a solid 10-15 mpg as the backup PG as a freshman, I'll be very pleased. I don't expect him to start.
  18. This team has a much higher upside if Geronimo and Bates can play their way into the starting lineup at the three and two spots. I actually have more confidence in JG at this point. I hope TB takes a big leap in the off-season, but we'll see. I've learned to not rely on freshman contributing much until they prove otherwise, so not counting on JHS and the rest of the crew yet. This was the report on TB after the Bahamas trip: Although he came off the bench, Bates was Indiana’s second leading scorer for the trip. He scored 14 points in 18 minutes in game one, and showed he is a threat from anywhere on the court. With good elevation and length, Bates doesn’t need much room to get his shot off, and he knows how to create the space to get those openings. Over two games Bates scored 23 points in 45 minutes while being efficient and taking care of the ball. He had just one turnover over the course of the two games, mainly because Bates doesn’t get sped up and doesn’t force the action. Instead the points came because his game is polished and well-rounded. He didn't show any of that the rest of the season. Hopefully he can recapture that game.
