  1. How could you forget IUPUI? Leading the league in letters
  2. I would like to see the Generic Directional Conference: Northwestern Northwestern State Northeastern Northern State (Div II, but who cares) Eastern University (Div III, see above) Southern University Southern Methodist Western University (mythical from Blue Chips)
  3. Hield and Eric Gordon both played for the BNT against Kansas
  4. And how many attend IU football games or watch the games on TV?
  5. This puts enormous pressure on NW, IU, PU, IL, Rutgers and MD. The B1G is becoming a football superconference. Being bad programs that struggle to generate revenue won’t be attractive. The power teams will get tired of equally sharing revenue with the weak programs
  6. From TDH on 7/27: We’re a little thin (on the wing),” he said. “We might have to move Mackenzie over some and Kaleb to the two and three, for sure three with those two guys. So I’m going to have to mix and match based on who’s doing what.” The only other alternative at this point would be to make a roster addition. But it’s pretty late for that, even in the transfer portal era. “We’re looking,” Woodson said. “But it’s not easy finding people at this stage of the game.” https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketballs-mike-woodson-says-mgbako-and-banks-need-to-be-ready-to-play-on-the-wing/
  7. “It also doesn’t help that returning PG Xavier Johnson hurt his knee midway through last year and my model doesn’t know the low playing time was because of injury versus not being able to crack through the rotation.” That’s quite a model. So, if Edey had missed much of last year with an injury, he’d have Purdue near the bottom of the league?
  8. Sounds like Lewis is supportive of him transferring: Lewis wished Coleman well in a statement: "As a program we are proud of many of Jarron's accomplishments, but none more than 'Boogie' becoming his family's first college graduate." Former IN All Star from Cathedral. Led BSU in scoring and assists last year
  9. Not remotely the same players. Mahomes’ accuracy and TD/int ratio in college was light years better than Richardson’s. AR has a gun for an arm, but he has serious accuracy issues.
  10. Maybe the football team can pull off an upset of Indiana ST, during their visit.
  11. He's said publicly that working out and rehabbing the knee is all he's been able to do. Not allowed to practice. He did say he's just started taking some jump shots with no knee pain. He had microfracture surgery. That's a long recovery.
  12. Looks like he graduated from Georgetown Day in 2021, then did a year of prep school at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA. Offers were from AF and Maine. Sat out his freshman year at AF due to shoulder surgery. Wouldn’t hurt team GPA: “considering data science major … hobbies are investing, reading, studying and FIFA … Why I came to the Academy: “school, basketball, and to become a leader” Wonder what went wrong at AF?
  13. "It is the second straight year the Trojans program has had a player suffer cardiac arrest." "Center Vincent Iwuchukwu, one of the top incoming freshmen in college basketball last season, suffered cardiac arrest on July 1, 2022, and was hospitalized for a few days. He returned to play for USC in January, appearing in 14 games." https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/38068148/bronny-james-stable-icu-following-cardiac-arrest
  14. When asked about it, he said he "could care less" instead of he "couldn't care less". That's a deal killer.
  15. It doesn't really get mentioned much (other than the Jordan factor), but that may have been one of the biggest upsets in tournament history. That UNC group (plus Doherty) against Alford and Marty Simmons as freshman, Blab, Giomi, Stew Robinson and Dakich. It was magical watching Dakich switch on Jordan, Perkins, Smith and Daugherty
  16. I’m not calling you out, but you suggested we are adding an offensive dimension we haven’t had due to Ware and Malik’s abilities beyond the arc. Nothing in their history to support that. Others in the past in HSN touted Ware’s 3 point shooting. Not saying these guys can’t develop, but it’s all speculation at this point. Like my golf game, it’s the triumph of hope over experience.
  17. I don't get where Ware and Malik developed a reputation as three point shooters. Last season: Ware: 27.3% (15-55) Malik: 25% (2-8) Race: 27.9% (12-43) Most fans were screaming at the TV for Race to stop shooting threes.
