  1. Yes, in the business world we called that re-trading an agreement. That poisons a relationship.
  2. Hilarious “Huggins said he thought “outside influences” played a big part in Tshiebwe leaving. The player said only that it was for “personal reasons” when he decided to leave at midseason.” “I think it’s the world we live in,” Huggins said on ‘The Bob Huggins Show’ after Tshiebwe announced he was going to UK.”It’s better to steal than it is to work and earn things. “It’s take the easy way out, and I think there were some people involved who saw where they could benefit, maybe profit, and worked very diligently at trying to get him out.” https://www.yoursportsedge.com/2021/01/14/bob-huggins-says-outside-influences-played-role-in-oscar-tshiebwe-transferring-to-kentucky/vaughts-views/larryvaught/
  3. The facilities and resources are much better than when Lynch was coaching, yet here we are
  4. I saw that he's eligible to grad transfer. If so, I'd say watch Maryland (Willard recruited him hard out of HS, when at SH), but I believe they are at 13 schollys. Seton Hall could also be a player here.
  5. Kentucky: “They got the No. 1 class this year, all those five-stars coming in. I’m pretty sure they’re going to develop them Uhhh, no
  6. I can picture the look he'd get walking into a Memphis BBQ joint and ordering Mongolian beef.
  7. That’s why a lot of trust funds don’t give the beneficiaries full access to funds until they’re 30
  8. Statistics show that about 60-65% of NBA players go broke within the first five years of retirement. https://www.essentiallysports.com/nba-basketball-news-despite-65-percent-of-nba-players-going-broke-within-5-years-of-retirement-shaquille-oneals-mother-helped-him-buy-175-restaurants-and-amass-450-million-net-worth/amp/ These guys aren’t making NBA money and they aren’t locks to ever make the NBA. If IU is helping these guys get NIL deals they need to get them aligned with financial planners who say no to expensive cars.
  9. Unless these guys are getting the use of cars as part of an NIL deal, they are getting really bad money management advice, if they’re buying or leasing these.
  10. Yeah, the reclass was a terrible decision. The kid was 6'2 and weighed 165 pounds.
  11. Talk about a kid being mis-rated. He appeared in 33 games for WKU last year and shot 10-49 from 2pt range. He shot 57% from the FT line. He did shoot 38% from 3. His fouls per 40 were 6.1. Jeesh.
  12. He's rated about the same as Ryan Cline, who also had only mid-major offers other than PU.
  13. TJD with pre-draft workout with Pacers today https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/nba/pacers/2023/06/04/nba-draft-2023-pacers-to-workout-indiana-basketball-star-trayce-jackson-davis-to-work-out-for-pacers/70286363007/
  14. When he committed to UCF: Johnny Dawkins on Hart: "He's a very mature player. I loved his work ethic. He's a gym rat. He wants to get better. He's a tough kid. He knows what he's doing out there. He doesn't back down. Competes. I really like that about him. I saw it when we were following him in the summers. He just has a great ability, in that moment, you can always count on him. He seems to always step up and make the play that needs to be made. Just very excited and very fortunate we were able to get him."
  15. That’s been one of my biggest concerns with the current roster,, XJ looking to score more. He was effective in the pick and roll or getting wide open kick outs. But his shot mechanics aren’t good. As a volume shooter and focal point of the opposing defense, I think the law of averages won’t be in his or the team’s favor. I want him to be a distributor who drives and dishes (or scores at the rim) and takes a couple open threes
  16. Smith and Loyer are hard at work preparing for next season
  17. That was my question when he declared for the draft. WTH?
  18. ESPN doesn't have much leverage. From mid-October to mid-March, the NBA fills 10-15 hours of night-time, live programming per week. Plus, all of the discussion programming that feeds off of that. Word is, the NBA is looking to triple their existing contract to $75B. We'll see.
