  1. Returning PPG: Galloway. 6.7 Reneau. 6.1 Ware 6.6 Gunn 2.0 Banks 2.0 Sparks 13.3 Leal 0.2 That’s 37 points, but some will add scoring with more playing time. I really like Gallo as a player, but he played 28 mpg last year and averaged 6.7. Just don’t see him making a huge leap in scoring. The current roster puts a lot of pressure on XJ to score.
  2. That would be a mistake. If I’m XJ, I’m thinking I need to score 25 ppg. That won’t go well.
  3. Agree, I just don’t think we have that luxury
  4. Yeah Lawrence is the only one on that list that moves the needle. Salis or Ali would be desperation.
  5. Some of their assessments: Ware: Talk about an embarrassment of riches. Ware was great when he was on the court this season. He looked the part of a top-ranked recruit and performed that way when he got to play. He just didn’t get but 16 minutes a game with N’Faly Dante putting up a 29 PER. It’s understandable Altman played Dante, but if you can’t find a way to get Ware on the court it’s not surprising he would transfer. The former five star recruit coming out of high school is probably still the best nba draft prospect in the transfer portal. Ledlum: I watch some Chris Ledlum highlights, he seems to have a decent handle and able to play some on the wing. He will take some outside shots but is under 30% More of a small ball PF. Will that work as well at his next stop if it’s at the highest levels is the question. Love: I think Love is pretty overrated in general, and even by our own model which will rank him lower than most I expect. His impact is being derived from being a high usage player. One with a very low efficiency last three years. His true shooting percentage has been well below average. (.491% this season). If Love were looking for a more appropriate role where he could be a lower usage player or 3rd scoring option then I would see it differently. I doubt that is the goal. I think he’s shown he can shoot better at least on open three’s when there are better offensive options around him like Brady Manek taking the pressure off. It will be interesting to see where he goes. If he’s in a lead scoring focus and focus of the defense as he was on the Tar Heels I would expect similar results, which was partially why the Tar Heels underachieved and were in need of a floor spacer shooting 31% as a team. Timberlake: The CAA was down this year and he didn’t up the efficiency. He’s a great outside shooter with size and played big on a top 75 Towson team in 2021-22, he just doesn’t seem to do much else if you are looking for upside. He fits anywhere.
  6. Probably not at the moment. I would think the strategy would be to really monetize the on-line instruction and then pull the on-line kids and coaches into camps.
  7. They are for-profit. Reportedly close to $90M in annual revenue. On campus tuition and housing is $90k per year, but they have on-line business as well. Boarding school and camps on its cutting-edge campus in Bradenton, Florida IMG Academy+ online coaching with a focus on personal development through the lens of sport and performance NCSA College Recruiting, providing tools, coaching and access to a network of 40,000 college coaches IMG Academy is the only education brand directly responsible for filling one-quarter of all college roster spots on an annual basis. In 2021 alone, IMG Academy helped place 30,000 kids into college.
  8. Wasn’t exactly sure where to post this, but it certainly falls into the world of recruiting and the big money world of elite youth athletics. IMG Academy is being sold to a private equity firm for $1.25 billion https://www.reuters.com/markets/deals/endeavor-sell-img-academy-private-equity-group-eqt-2023-04-25/
  9. I've tried taking I-70 and I-65 to Bloomington and somehow missed it.
  10. Yeah, not intended as a criticism of him. Just saying any quality player in the portal has more leverage than the teams
  11. There is clearly more demand than supply for a guard who averaged 9&5 last year. Sellers market.
  12. Like it or not, the players wanted NIL and the transfer portal. Welcome to the world of every person working in a non-union position who can be replaced at any time.
  13. What would TJD’s last two seasons have been with the addition of two shooters? I felt that not adding one or two shooters from the portal last year was the biggest mistake CMW has made. Instead, we carried a couple front court players who gave us little and left after this year.
