  2. James Cameron confesses Titanic floating door should have been smaller after new tests. "Based on what I know today, I would have made the raft smaller, so there's no doubt."
  3. No downside for him. $15M contract to stay in SFLA, with a commitment to increase the bball budget, and a low buyout.
  4. It isn't really, as far as his obligation: "If May takes another job before Feb. 29, 2024 he will owe the university $1.5 million. That number decreases to $1 million, $750,000 and $500,000 over the next three years." https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaab/2023/04/09/fau-basketball-coach-dusty-may-10-year-15-million-contract/11631690002/

  6. Ladies, I'm no longer limiting myself to the six supermodels on my list...
  7. IDK. Dakich was very effective at yelling, "Miss it!"
  8. Read a story years ago about a guy in England who heard an owl in his yard. He started hooting back every night and started keeping a journal. One day his wife was speaking with the lady who lived next door and told her about the owl. The neighbor said, "Stanley (her husband) has been doing the same thing." They realized their husbands had been hooting at each other for weeks, and laughed hysterically.

  10. “Indiana has to replace a total of 63.7 points per game it lost from the seven players on the 2022-23 squad who won’t be around when the ball tips in November. That’s a ton of production, and it isn’t clear that they’ve got anyone who can become a high volume scorer, especially when it comes to the wing spots” “And now the fate of next season seems to ride on whether they can keep things rolling with two or three more quality additions out on the wing.”
  11. “The best thing about Miami as a Super Bowl site is that it is so close to the United States,” Ed Schyler of The Associated Press said, as reported on January 19, 1989.
  12. This is the last I weigh in on TG, because the reactions are getting a bit strange to generally positive, but realistic, opinions. To me, he’s like Mason Gillis. Another really solid, smart player, with similar stats who helps you win. However, if Edey leaves, I wouldn’t count on Gillis making a big leap as a scorer (yes, I know he had 30 in a game as a fluke)
  13. He is versatile, but limited. He's an energy guy best suited for coming off the bench. No way he would have played 28 mpg last year if XJ wasn't injured. He increased his playing time from <21 mpg , the prior year, to almost 28 mpg yet his scoring only went from 5.5 ppg to 6.7 ppg. If he was going to be a 12-15 ppg game guy, it would have shown this season. He's a valuable player who will make a key steal, highlight pass or knock down an open shot when needed. Every team needs that. I just don't see him as the scoring solution at the wing. It was obvious in the NCAAT that you need multiple athletic wings who can shoot. He also can't stay in front of quick guards.
  14. Maybe. I was just going from the scoring you laid out. That would be 61 to 70 ppg. WI averaged just over 66. They can grind out some games with that level of scoring because they play at a slow pace and average only about 7 TOs. But they still lost a lot of close games this year. The only B1G teams to average less than 70 ppg last year were MN, WI, Rutgers and NW. Only NW made the NCAAT and they were an elite defensive team.
  15. It works if the goal is to have a season like WI last year. They had 5 players who averaged 9-13 ppg (four in double figures) and two more regulars who combined for 7.5 ppg. No margin for error and they lost a lot of close games.
  16. Gallo has his role, but if he’s playing 30 minutes, that team will struggle to win 6 B1G games. Not nearly enough scoring.
  17. Can’t happen without a players union. Otherwise NCAA would lose a court challenge
