  4. Because this is an era of continuous free agency. At IMG or Montverde, etc., he would still get excellent coaching and training. He would still face outstanding talent every day in practice. But he'd get game experience against top talent from around the country. He may get named to the McD AA team. His NIL value would likely increase more than being redshirted at IU. I just can't imagine a scenario where a top 20 player would reclassify in order to redshirt.

  6. If that's the scenario, he'd be far better off going to Montverde or IMG, if an option. Just don't think it makes sense to reclassify to essentially redshirt.

Prior to MLB, Petitti served in senior executive roles at ABC, NBC and CBS, overseeing the rights acquisition deals for a variety of sports and leagues, including the NFL, NCAA Basketball Tournament, PGA Tour and SEC Football. A 14-time Emmy Award winner, he was executive vice president and executive producer at CBS Sports, where he was responsible for the network’s sports programming and production.

  13. Yeah, I think a lot of guys in that 100-150 range who used to go P5 may now end up at mid-majors for the first couple of years
