We lack quickness. However, a lot was fundamental. We don't block out well at all. Also, we have a middle school mentality of attempting to dribble a loose ball. We aren't strong with the ball. There were so many times I saw other players throughout the conference tourneys and NCAAT who would grip and rip a loose ball. They weren't going to be denied. Also, I could almost list the times this season that an IU player dove on the floor for a loose ball.

'23-'24 College Hoops Across the Nation(NOT IU!)

I get that their record wasn't good. However, there were four teams in the CBI behind Det Mercy in the NET and two barely above. The CBI is a buy-in tourney. Not saying DM belonged in, but the same could be said for some of the other pay to play teams. -

Yeah, not a great take. However, after all the really ugly stuff directed toward Mike Davis, having people contact the CBI tourney to lobby against having Antoine break the record, I can see how it wouldn’t sit well. -

100%. Also no prohibition against players talking. "NCAA rules prohibit any representative of another athletics department from making contact with a player at another school who has not entered the transfer portal, either directly or indirectly. That rule, however, has proven difficult to enforce, as proof of such conversations can be difficult to obtain. Coaches can also use players' high school coaches, for instance, as intermediaries to make known the opportunities that player might have at a different school without contacting the player directly. (The NCAA's general toothlessness in enforcing much of anything hasn't helped, either.)" "Technically, schools and coaches aren’t allowed to contact or recruit athletes until they are officially in the portal. However, it would be naïve to think that everyone is abiding by those rules. Quite frankly, it’s certainly possible that if a school or coach waits that long, it might be too late to have a real chance at landing certain transfers."

I know, but enrollment and tuition revenue is a big challenge for these small schools. Having the teams helps to recruit student/athletes who will then pay tuition. Some of those kids will select a school that recruits them for athletics, just because they don't want their athletic careers to end in high school. A lot of those D2 & D3 teams don't spend a lot on their athletic programs. They get donor support, don't pay their coaches a lot (some are part time) and travel in vans and buses. -

Not sure why they wouldn't move to D2 or D3, which is non-scholarship. A lot of small colleges (D2&D3) get a lot of their enrollment from student athletes, but they don't have to provide schollies. -
Yes. Have to start thinking like a GM

He can score against Matador defenses

They're following the NCAAT schedule. They begin at 11:55 tonight

Yeah, I saw a Big12 game late in the year where both teams were in the bonus before the first 2nd half TV timeout and one was almost double bonus. Watching several conference tourneys, I can't say that I saw dramatically better officiating.

Yes, terrible decision and worse execution about 7 feet behind the line after we had grabbed the momentum. Followed by a couple of possessions of poor shot selection by JHS. After climbing back into the game and taking the momentum, we just went brain dead again for about 3-4 minutes and let Miami take control again.

Meh. 37% overall. 26% from three.

Thanks for being the 💩 in the punchbowl 😀

I want to see us attempt to recruit over everyone, every year

Yeah, the quickest way to get your son more playing time from CMW is to go on Twitter and complain.

No chance he’d leave East Bay for The Bend. He’s 60 and has no pressure at St Mary’s -

FDU was 301 in the NET. They were 0-1 quad 1, 0-0 quad 2, 1-2 quad 3 and 16-12 quad 4. They lost in the conference tournament to NET #307 Merrimack. They lost to NET #159 Richmond in the non-con 77-48
