  1. Can't believe how many schools are already closed tomorrow. It's like people are afraid to drive on a wet road.
  2. Some meteorologists have called this "heart attack snow," because it's so hard to shovel. I can see why. Almost broke my shovel earlier.
  3. If he had 14 points I guarantee Archie would have left him in the game. Can't risk the wrath of Ed Smith's twitter account.
  4. I live in northern Indiana. Looks like we're finally getting hit tonight. Our first winter storm warning in over 3 years. The snow drought we've been in is incredible. Every storm misses us.
  5. Refs just stole 2 points from Iowa. Cockburn blocks a layup attempt by Wieskamp, who immediately puts it back in for 2 while the officials blow the whistle for a goal tend. They then head to the monitor and overturn the call, negating everything that happened afterward.
  6. Southern Wells has a couple players who transferred from Whitko. Any idea why those kids left? Seemed like a strange move to make.
  7. Another pet peeve: shooters catching the ball and hopping sideways to shoot. Refs usually don't see it because they're watching the ball instead of the shooters' feet.
  8. I think we were discussing this in another thread, but does anyone else find themselves annoyed at the emerging trend of coaches calling timeouts after their teams score? I saw it happen twice in the fourth quarter of a game last night by a team that was ahead. It just smacks of micro-managing and kills the flow of the game.
  9. My high school used to have a coach who did this many years ago. He claimed it was to reiterate to his players that they had done something well. He took a lot of heat for doing it when we were playing in a heated rivalry game and had just scored to go up by 10 late in the third. We ended up scoring 6 points the rest of the game and losing by 2.
  10. OSU made 11 shots inside the arc in the first half. They only made 6 the entire game against Purdue the other night.
  11. lol I've been joking for awhile now that the AP is trying to rank as many Big Ten teams as possible before us. I think Maryland, Penn State, Purdue and Nebraska are the only others who haven't cracked the top 25 yet. Maryland is probably on their radar after their win today.
  12. FSU is up 30 on Clemson in the second half. I can't figure out why Clemson is ranked.
  13. That would explain how there was no one within 10 feet of him when he shot it.
  14. I think everyone knew Stefanovic was going to get it at the top of the key except the five OSU players.
  15. How do you not know the shot clock is about to expire when there are less than 2 minutes left in the game?
  16. Purdue really taking it to OSU right now. I think they're gonna win this.
  17. No, the and-1 he just got on an everyday drive to the hoop and the and-1 from the foul line where he wasn't touched.
  18. Never thought I'd see Sasha Stefanovic getting star calls.
  19. The same thing happened against Maryland. We had the ball and a 10 point lead with 29 seconds left. All we had to do was get the ball across halfcourt and run out the clock. But of course, we turned it over and they got a layup.
  20. I wonder if we can beat MSU. I think we can. I've been told that Archie Miller has Tom Izzo's number. I mean, he's beaten him three straight times. THREE STRAIGHT TIMES!!! That's a long winning streak against one team for this program.
  21. Reminds me of that game at Michigan awhile back where we went from being down 17-6 to up 48-25.
  22. It's funny because everyone was writing Michigan's obituary last spring after they had a recruit decommit, another one pick Arizona State over them, and had a couple dudes transfer.
  23. Hoping that turns into a sneaky good win for us. I believe they've given Arizona its only loss as well.
  24. The Texans, being the Texans, are about to give up the lead.
  25. Not about Covid directly, but maybe a byproduct of it...has anyone else experienced very poor service from fast food restaurants recently? In the last few weeks, I've gotten takeout from Chik-fil-A, Dairy Queen and Pizza Hut, and all three of those places screwed up my order. Dairy Queen got it wrong after I read it back to them a second time, and STILL got it wrong when I brought my food back to show them it wasn't what I ordered. Am I just unlucky? I keep hearing about how these restaurants are struggling to find good help, and it made me wonder if the masks are distracting employees and actually preventing them from doing their best work.
