Yeah I don't agree he is a better shooter. I don't agree with any of this pretty much. We'll see.
Cuz Kopp was a fantastic athlete haha… Kopp did have a great year shooting the ball but give Joey 5 years of college and will see where he is

Sorry...I don't share your (or Cal's) vision here. That's OK...we can agree to disagree and revisit this in a couple of years.
More like 4 years.. I think it will take a couple years to add strength… and I really don’t blame IU for not offering considering we are in on great talent for 24.

Its not at all, though. He's athletic for a Southern Indiana kid, but elite athleticism is XJ, TJD, VOs of the world.
Joey Hart is marginally more athletic than A Leal.
He would jump over Leal….not even close… but I do agree not as fast etc as VO and XJ obviously but a very very good jumper

So you’re saying both Painter and Woodson said PASS yet you say …….?
I think Purdue made a mistake.. I understand IU saying no considering we are on so many great prospects for 24 class…I always figured Purdue would end up taking him and redshirt him because you’ll probably have to wait a year or 2 before he adds the strength needed…But I honestly don’t know Purdue scholarship situation either.

I'll go on record as saying he does not have elite athleticism... maybe its above average, but I think its a far cry from elite. He jumps pretty well for a 6'3 white kid.
And yeah, I call BS on what Cal said.
Also I will add he is just an ok ball handler and not a playmaker… he would basically fit the Kopp role…he is a better shooter than Kopp and way better athlete but Kopp is bigger and better on D…give Joey 2 years though and he will be much better than Kopp in all areas.

Poor mans John Deibler?
the next Connor Essegian?
I think he can play but understand why IU & Purdue passed on him
sucks he went to a school I refuse to root for but wish him luck
He would jump over Connor and John lol… I thought he was a perfect fit for Purdue… but Painter took Colvin over him…I thought they should took both

He’s easily 6’4 and it’s elite athleticism… super quick off floor…effortless.

I've seen him multiple games. He looks good against smaller school teams but he's no Galloway. A better shooter at the same stage in his development, yes, but inferior in just about every other way. In a normal year at UK, he's nothing more than a practice body. Can he develop into a weapon? It's not impossible, but I'd peg him as more likely to be Anthony Leal than Trey Galloway and I can see why Woody would be willing to wait to see if a stronger candidate surfaces.
Joey is an ELITE shooter…Over 60% on open 3’s in AAU and overall 50% from 3…Joey also has Elite athleticism and bounce…dude was hammering 360 dunks in games…where he lacks is strength and defense… guessing it takes him 2 years to build the strength and defense but as an upperclassman he will be a player at a high major mark it down… Cal says he sees Tyler Herro in him. Same height and weight…

Sad to see Hayden leave…wonder if he just didn’t see a bigger role developing at IU.

I’ve been watching…fantastic games…Wake and Florida are definitely the 2 best…the pitcher from Florida is incredible. Tennessee might be able to jump back in since they have deepest pitching.

Can't get a key hit 1-14 RISP. 4 times tonight had a runner on 3rd with less than two outs and don't score
Ya absolutely pathetic…I mean it’s hard to fathom it really…middle of the lineup as well…3-4-5 hitters up there striking out with runners at 3rd less than 2 outs. Unreal

Man we need to win this so bad!! Be huge for the program and I can’t stand Kensucky and those losers

UKs bum coach yapping off and running. Game 7 tonight boys!!
If Kraft is healthy he could throw 40-50 pitches... Whiteaker hasn't thrown, he will tonight. I think Bothwell will start, ride him as far as he can go.... go to Whiteaker at that point. Mentioned Kraft, I think Foley could throw 1-2 innings, Risedorph maybe 1. Yoho would throw, I'd think. Throwing more LHP worries me against UK, but it's what we got.
I doubt they'd let Sinnard throw, don't think he's even had an MRI.
I was happy with Mercers strategy once we were down 5 runs late.
Who does UK got left to throw?

Jones is a grad transfer from Southern Illinois who should be a solid defender for us (didn’t shoot well last year but won’t be asked to shoot as much at Purdue) and Heide is a redshirt freshman from Minnesota who is 6’7 with some solid athleticism.
Ic…ya I expect you guys to be better especially with another year under Loyer and Smith belt…

That’s fair but I think adding Colvin, Jones, and Heide should be a significant upgrade over losing Newman and Jenkins. Adds some much-needed athleticism to the roster that wasn’t there last year.
Honestly don’t know who Jones and Heide are?

Oh well put Edey in bunch of Pick n Rolls just like last year

Very nice year though with ball still to play.

Still a year away from being really legit… just don’t have enough good arms yet.

Let’s go!!

First of all, yes.... we should be taking another sizable jump from this season to next. For sure. I plan on making a long post after the season explaining the potential of this crew....
It might not have been deep enough to host this year, but it might be deep enough to win a regional this year. If Bothwell+Seiler keep performing well, we have a GOOD amount of depth. That is assuming Kraft is healthy.
I assume Risedorph starts today.
I think next year we could be top 10 and have a shot at the World Series… best we’ve had since 2014 anyways… 1 or 2 pitchers away IMO

2 pitches got us beat. 2 run HR to right field, and the bases-clearing double in the 6th. Only thing that really matters from last night was Kraft, when he was pulled, also had a bit of arm soreness. I was hoping to use him on Tues in the BTT, not sure about that now.
Sinnard was solid again, but not perfect. Let things get too loose a couple of times.
Not going to win the B1G now, not going to host, but have still had an excellent season and can have an incredible ending.
First time in a long time that Kraft surrendered any amount of substaintial runs.
If the pitching takes another jump next year we should host… still not good enough this year

Love the direction of this program

I really like the fact that his dad was on visit to IU as well

Ya I think so… give him 3 years to improve…I honestly thought it might be better to go to an ISU get immediate playing time then transfer up and play last 2 years at high major
