I would say they have built up some heard immunity.  Sweden is going to be the test case for comparison of responses.  Since they did nothing essentially, stayed open, no masks.

Since the timeline is similar, if you go to worldometers and compare the graphs of Sweden, New York, and New Jersey they are pretty similar. Especially daily new deaths.

Be interested to know how people really feel about this...

I watched the HBO Documentary "White Light, Black Rain" a while back, and it certainly made me feel a little differently...

Hard to say for sure if Japan would have surrendered with or without it. I would say Nagasaki wasnt necessary.

I think the bigger goal was the US flexing their cajones to show the Russians what was up.

I also think Japan deserved a punch in face for what they did to the Chinese.  Especially for the Nanjing massacre.

I work with a guy that has a 10 yr old son that had to have his left leg amputated below the knee because they weren't able to see a Dr.  Turns out he had a cancerous tumor in his foot that was inoperable.

The collateral damage from these lockdowns is very real.

So, why don't you, mr.flynn, reacher, and 5fouls start taking HCQ and let us know how it goes.  Okay?  Then we'll have first hand info.  😊

Well I first need a good looking woman who test positive to make out with for a half hour or so then start my course the next day.😁

Like I said, what does it hurt?

Just like with flu season, you have the flu shot, otc drugs, prescriptions, tamaflu that I know of, and I dont know what it was but I went to the ER once with a 107 fever and had an injection that felt like ice water in my veins.

So why not? Let's just beat this thing.

  6. Seems to me some people want to wait on a 100% effective cure which simply isn't going to happen.

As a guy that does all his own mechanic work I have about 30 different tools I use regularly.  So I look at covid like my truck. If it helps even 10% of infections then use it as 1 part of a tool set. I have yet to see a one size fits all approach work anywhere in life.

I agree there will be budget concerns..govt definitely needs to step in if they want to get them open to make them safe and get their supplies.

Another thing about cleaning supplies is on the supply side. There would be a huge surge in demand.  Had to go to the Wal Mart the other day. No paper products at all and cleaning supplies section picked clean.

How do you think some of those small schools up there will do budget wise.  Especially if they have to buy more ppe, and cleaning supplies?

My wife is from central illinois.  She went to Armstrong-Potomac. When she was there they didnt have central air and couldn't even afford window units. I doubt they could handle much of a budget crisis.

You know you will never get that money back...and we all know our taxes are going to sky rocket to offset business taxes because we closed them all. Again I just wondering if I’m the only one that is at a loss because of all this because even the local news is pressuring to keep schools closed by only stating the teachers union side and not all the other issues that these children face. I am all for paying to keep the teachers safe with proper masks/plastic shields for their desks and extra cleaning and maybe uv light sterilization or things of that sort but this we are sentencing people to death thing and defunding police etc stuff is just a non-starter. I want people to be as safe as we can make them but to just shut down altogether is not good for anyone...especially the kids...most importantly the underprivileged ones will get affected the most without access to care and proper learning at home.

I know.  I was just being flippant.  I just find it very disrespectful they would make a non workplace related demand like, especially one that unrealistic.  Not only will the kids suffer but what will the parents who both work jobs to get by do?  How many parents are even capable or willing to help their kids learn?

And if they would happen to successfully defund the police guess what one of the first things to disappear will be, the school resource officers.

Of the few teachers I know, they want to go back to school, and see paid leave offered to older teachers who don't feel safe.   Looks like a good idea to me.

It is really sad to teacher's unions saying defunding the police is a prerequisite for returning. That has nothing to do with the kids or school. Union sure not looking out for the kids, IMO.

Absolutely ridiculous.  If they don't want to go to work because of ignorant, non virus related reasons like this, then they can sit at home with no pay and I will demand a property tax refund.

Ok. Well then we don’t know if Bangladesh has a higher or lower death rate

    Lower.  Same as USA.

Clearly you didnt read the study I posted.

All you want to do is be argumentative and think you are right about everything.

  13. Obesity and Covid 19

Also read in a study done exploring using cholesterol medication the fight covid, the virus recruits fat into the respiratory cells in order to replicate.

    Bangladesh obesity rates:

Of  the  17%  of  overweight  or  obese  adults  in Bangladesh,  just  4%  were  obese,  and  obesity  rates in Bangladesh  are increasing  at  a slower  pace.  From  1980  to  2013  obesity  rates  in adults  grew  from  2%  to 4%,  and rates  in children  and  adolescents  remained  at  about  1.5%

    US obesity rate:

The CDC provided a data update in May 2017 stating that for adults 20 years and older, the crude obesity rate was 39.8% and the age adjusted rate was measured to be 39.7%. Including the obese, 71.6% of all American adults age 20 and above were overweight.

What does he have to explain they social distanced we didn’t?  It’s not his fault people are standing for their freedom by infecting others.

Fauci makes recommendations not policy.  And none of his recommendations were listened to

How do you know they practiced social distancing?  Did you vacation there this year and witnessit first hand?

I truly don't understand why information like this is not commonly reported on by the media.  This is the type of information that is important,

I have no idea. The media says all the time if this or that saves just one life, but not now?

My mom has lupus and has been taking it for years and the only noticeable side effect is an increased divorce rate.
