    Not to bag on the kid and what do I know but I don't trust Woodson or this staff to do anything that is going to make mid-major players look good here.  He needs Love and Ware caliber players to have a chance IMO.  

    ETA:  And if it is that guy, Coastal Carolina lost over 20 games and I don't think I saw one P5 team on their schedule.  If this is what we brought Woodson back for and he sees more value in this than in recruiting Freshman, then he is a bigger idiot when it comes to college basketball and building a program than I thought (and I have a pretty low opinion of that to begin with.)

    Please tell me I have the wrong Jacob Meyer.

    Stuck In mediocrity for another year with another roster to rebuild. 

    This is the worst case scenario, IMO. It’s not the bad that scares me - It’s the in between good and bad that scares me. . 

     

    Basically the Pacers in the NBA.  Just staying in that 6th to 11th place in conference so you are always competing to be in the playoffs but rarely being good enough to really compete for a title and rarely bad enough to go out and get a few years of high draft picks to build to one.  It is a good place to play for if you are a journeyman looking to cash some checks though.

    The fact the Simons are involved in both the Pacers and in keeping Woodson should terrify everyone.

    Be careful what you wish for.  The programs currently kicking our ass take players like Cupps and make them good enough to compete by year 4.  We don't develop and run them off.  No continuity.  Cupps leaving would be a bad barometer IMO.

    So let's say rumor mill plays out.  Currently Johnson, Walker, and Ware are out.  We have open scholarship.  Gunn and Banks are likely gone.  Say we add Cupps to that list.  You are at 7 open scholarships at that point.  Mgbako, Reneau, Galloway, Leal, Sparks, and maybe Newton are your returning players.

    Hope everyone is ready for Struggle Bus Part 2.

    ETA:  And the comment about the coaches is damning.

    So I don't think he is going anywhere and frankly the tone on the message boards fits the direction of the program.  You know how many things are going to have to go almost perfectly between now and November to not be at this point again this time next year?  A bunch.  And the thing is, you know that.  When the school thinks about "crazy toxic fans" do you think they are talking about people blowing off steam on a message board or people who were emailing the AD after every loss calling for the coach to be fired?  Which, whatever, but get off your high horse man.  You were one of the WORST complainers the past month and a half and you were encouraging others to fire up the computer and shoot off emails like you were.  After all that you should have some humility and zip it about other people being negative.

    Also, this isn't necessarily important in this game if we don't win, but Woodson is going to have to at least pull Gunn out of the doghouse and possibly even Banks if we are expecting to try and go 4 games in 4 days.  With no Galloway he is going to need more than Leal, Cupps, and Johnson as part of the rotation if they are looking ahead to playing Sunday.

    Also, Banks is clearly gone.  Gunn still seems to be somewhat involved in celebrating good things for the team but Banks is almost completely checked out on the bench.

    I don't know how you can have the scoring discrepancy on the inside that we do and not have 1 freaking free throw the entire half.  On the long list of crap Woodson does or does not do that annoys me, get on the %$#$%& refs when the game is getting called like this.
