So they are planning to be down by at least two?

Has any team gotten more mileage out of two single digit losses than Kent State? It’s becoming nauseating.

Sorry for your loss. Just last week we had to say good bye to our 13 year old black lab. My kids were devastated. The greatest conflict on earth is the conflict between brain and heart when it’s time to let you companion go. And, the greatest tragedy on earth is that dogs don’t live as long as people.

I dont know for a fact, but I can safely make an educated guess that we would have been better if Romeo Langford had come back for a Sophomore year.
Does this mean we would’ve kept Archie???

I don’t think this is an exceptionally smart basketball team.
- They don’t do a good job of exploiting mismatches.
- They don’t often feed the hot hand.
- The Shooters are often afraid to shoot.
- They pass up open shots to take contested ones
- At times I see a little Devonte Green in JHS as he tries to pound the ball through the floor and play hero ball.
- They commit a lot of silly fouls.
- At least once a game somebody throws a pass that make everyone in Hoosier Nation sit up and yell WTF?
As a whole, I just don’t think this team has a high basketball IQ.

Interestingly, Micah was asked about Pickett last night, and his answer was something along the lines of “you win with guards”. So I don’t think it’s revisionist, or even a leap to think we win more with an experienced and talented point guard.

Good sized experienced guards should give Purdues guards fits. How did the beat PSU so badly, twice? Also, PSUs Senior guards make up almost 60 of the teams 72 point average. I’m guessing Micah is gone if Georgetown offers.

Outscored by 18 beyond the arc, and by 14 at the line. Gonna be tough to win any game like that.

0-6 against: Iowa, Northwestern, Penn State.
The glass half full means you play half way without heart.
You do know those other kids are on scholarship too, right? Or do you really expect IU to go undefeated every year?

He still did it.
played against NIL playersif you are asking did he come back for money or just love of IU…..
he could have taken money from another school but stayed at IU
‘If I am asking’? Are you unsure why I posted what I did? Whatever respect you may have had previously was lost when you referred to us as “UK North”. You are not respectful and I’m unsure why you want to, or are allowed, to post here.

Seems to be some boiler fans that think Trey Kauffman Renn will leave after this year. Guess things aren’t working out as well as he hoped.

If you have a 20+ free throw advantage on your home court and lose….not sure what to say.

Consider this more of an observation than a critique, but our point guard was tied for the lead in number of shots taken, but trailed Race in assists.

Are we not going to talk about the "event" that Purdue organized to replace the crossroads classic?
They're bringing in powerhouses Ball State, Davidson, and Illinois State for the inaugural Indy Classic Basketball Showcase.
Brad Davidson? By himself??? Not sure he can beat Purdue by himself, but maybe if Tyra plays there'd be a better chance.....just sayin.

I don't understand why people are uncomfortable that he may have called some guys out. Are we worried that he hurt somebody's feelings? My opinion is that if you don't want to be publicly called out, don't do anything to be called out for. I respect TJD for saying this stuff, I think it's the leadership we've been missing for so long. This is his last shot at this thing, and if he takes a "with me, or against me" attitude, that's alright by me. I recently saw Eli Manning talking about walking into the locker room as a rookie and wanting to win, not for himself, but for the veterans in the locker room who hadn't won before. And then later, guys wanted to win for him so he could have 1 more SB win than his brother. Everyone in the IU locker room should be trying to send TJD out on a high note, that should be the focus.

So you repeatedly have a jerk setting next to you at games. Do you notice this happening at any other group activities? On public transit? company meetings? Family reunions? Dinner at home?
I'm not piling on, and this is in no way directed at Scott, but this reminded me of a funny saying one of my former bosses had:
"If everywhere you go smells like dog s#!t, you should probably check your own shoes".

"Likekele isn’t exactly a dead-eye shooter, having knocked down just 18.2 percent of his 3-point attempts, 53.6 percent of his free throws and 43.7 percent of his shots from the floor overall last season, but he remains an asset in a multitude of ways nonetheless."
Great....that means he'll go 8 of 9 from 3 and 15 of 17 from the fouls line against the Hoosiers....can't wait....🤬

Man, all these companies throwing money at these kids really reiterates the point that they're not worth more than a scholarship. 🤔
I understand that you think people are worth whatever they can get, and on some level I agree with you, but it also assumes that cash is king and nothing else matters. Is Nigel Pack who puts a ball through a hoop (sometimes) really "worth" more than my neighbor the firefighter? Modern society has a perverted sense of value, and it's why I don't buy athletic jerseys any more. It's why I don't hardly follow professional sports any more, and it appears that I may not follow college sports much longer. From my perspective this NIL thing is really placing the "I" before team, and that really does go against what most of us were taught growing up. I understand why some people are struggling to accept it.
If you had an adult daughter, and someone was willing to pay her a million dollars for sex, clearly she is worth it since someone is willing to pay, but would you advise her to take it?

I'm note sure you'd see this because ESPN (for example) doesn't have deals with pro athletes that I'm aware of. A lot of these networks have journalism arms and signing athletes could bias their coverage.
....just a guess
Yeah, because ESPN clearly has no bias....

I see what this is. This is you prepping your “Dolson has to go” “IU admin is pathetic” “Woodson is old” rant in case we lose. You’re becoming too predictable.
