Yeah, it was a sloppy second half for sure for us.

That was a fun game to watch, the blocks alone made the first half. Little bit of a letdown in second half, but not much to complain about. Lots to like about where we are so far in the season (15-5), including no multi-loss streaks. Feel like we would get down and lose three or five in a row with Archie. Don’t think Woody is going to allow that to happen. That teaching moment for Geronimo was pretty intense. But he should remember next time when he’s guarding a good three point shooter.

Just now sitting down to watch the taping of this game. I don’t know the final, but know we won by a fair amount.

The game wasn’t on Sling, so I wasn’t able to watch it. Looks like I was the lucky one.

Bat of Hell was a great album at the time. My parents had it on vinyl and I even bought a copy on cassette as a teen. RIP, big guy.

And Trayce was the one who lifted Rob up afterwards in the crowd. Literally elevating your teammates.

Looked like Galloway got into Ivey’s head a bit. I like seeing that.

I am going to get super high for this game tonight. Really helps me put it into perspective and not freak out if things go bad, but also a hell of a ride when things go well. The videos of Coach Woodson waving to the crowd waiting in line have got me hyped. I will not be posting on the game thread though. Do not want to pull a Bill Walton on my IU brothers. I don’t like Bruce Hornsby, but still…

I don’t mind a jacket and dress pants, but am not a big fan of full suit/tie. I still have to wear a suit on certain work days, and will wear one if we are going to the theatre or a really nice dinner where a jacket is required. I do feel good in a well-fitted suit, but it’s just a pain in the ass in the summer. Even a summer weight suit has me sweating like a bastard by the time I hit the subway platform. Am most comfortable in chinos and a polo or t-shirt. However since the pandemic and a lot of remote work, I’ve really adapted to sweatpants for a lot of the time. Now, when I have to put on jeans or chinos to go somewhere, I complain to my wife about having to wear “hard pants.” Honestly, I don’t feel like I’m treated any differently in a suit or more casual dress. I’m always been an “act like you belong no matter where you are” type and people will respond positively to that. Clothes do not make the man.

Oh man, I’m sorry to hear that. The follow up reports make it seem all the more horrible, b/c she seemed like such a good person.

If there is a wall, we are near it or up against it. If tracks on both sides, we are square in the middle and if possible near a column. Also, head on a swivel, watching people coming and going. This woman was just randomly chatting with two friends and was pushed into the path of an oncoming train. Never saw it coming. Times Square at 9am.

I wasn’t really sold on the hire at first, but have been pleasantly surprised with Woodson and the team. I think the players like playing for him and that’s huge. And we are seeing some good player development (Galloway, Race, and Geronimo). We are still missing that grit and passion that I think good IU teams have to have, but I’m happy so far.

Good win, but worried about TJD. He seemed engaged from the bench at the end, so hopefully he’s okay. Hard fall though.

Love what Geronimo is bringing on both sides. Also REALLY love seeing our guys hit those little mid range jumpers. It’s been a while, since we’ve been able to do that consistently.

I bet parking was not fun though! If you do make it back, I recommend at least a day or an afternon in Brooklyn. The view alone of Manhattan from Brooklyn Heights in incredible. That and all of the best restaurants/shopping are now in Brooklyn. In the past few years they have opened some decommissioned sailboats as “on the water” restaurants. Pretty cool to have a meal with this view!

That’s awesome! Hope you all enjoyed the trip. I know NYC can be a lot for some people, but if you do it right it can be magical.

I’m probably biased, but that second part sounds awesome!

I’ll take it. Good to see Rob get out of his shooting slump. Undefeated at home.
