Not saying don't play him. Of course, you have to get everyone, especially freshmen, some time to keep them sharp and allow them to grow. Get him 15-20 minutes of time, including some of it when it matters. At the same time, if we need Rob, Al, and Armaan to play 30 minutes each to win a conference game, then we need to give those 3 guys their 30 minutes. If that means guys like Lander, Leal, Geronimo, etc. only get 10 minutes that game, so be it.

I think the whole ide of superspreader events is overblown. And, I'm not saying that we should be gathering in big crowds. What I mean is that yes, the Biogen conference helped bring the virus to Indiana. But, cross country truckers, vacationing families, interstate business commuters, etc. have helped spread the virus across the country as well. But, the biggest spreader. Friends and Family. Once it got to the U.S., it was going to spread. Yes, large gatherings contribute to that. But, it was going to spread anyway.

The math and science tell you that number of cases per 1 million population is a much more meaningful stat than raw numbers. I've listed below the 11 states with the lowest number of cases per capita (and yes, I know DC is not a state). Throw out Hawaii for obvious reasons because of its isolation and you still see some very interesting geographical trends. Pacific Northwest, Upper New England, and the Mid-Atlantic. When all this is over, it would be very interesting to see if someone can pin down some of the reasons for that. Really no sense playing him until mid-January art this point. Jeffersonville could beat them next Friday, but since Trey has not even been practicing, it's unrealistic for him to play that quickly. I think a major factor that has not been discussed enough is the overall health of the American people. Obesity, diabetes, stress, etc. are things that are known to cause worse symptoms. And, Americans have a greater percentage of those things than other populations.

I've always been significantly partial to Snow Miser myself.

My kids (who are now teenagers), never got into it. But, my sister and I have at least one Snow/Heat Miser conversation every holiday season. Year without a Santa Claus ranks in second place, right behind Charlie Brown on my list of favorite Holiday Specials.

Schools down here have been on eLearning for a few weeks now, so my son is not getting any hallway gossip. And, he has not directly reached out to any classmates who may know and asked the question. Throw in the fact that, with attendance restrictions, I've not attended any of the games, I've not done any significant investigations myself. Until late last week, I had been working under the assumption that they were just being cautious and holding him out until we needed him, which would be for both games this weekend. However, on the Livestream of the game last Friday, he was clearly favoring it walking to and from the locker room. Then, I got a little more suspicious when there has not been any indication in the local paper about when he may return. You know the reporters are asking, but the coaching staff must not be willing to share. Top it off with John Harrel predicting Blackhawk to beat SC by 17 points on Saturday indicates he may know something we don't. I'm now working under the assumption that he will probably miss the games this weekend (North Harrison and Blackhawk), and that will be significant. Throw in a game with Jeffersonville next Friday, and a very tough stretch will be even tougher without Kaufman. That said, Kooper Jacobi has been a monster so far this year. His shooting stats are ridiculous. And, Branden Northern has been playing excellent as well. SC is capable of beating most teams even without Kaufman, but size, which both North Harrison and Blackhawk have, will be problematic.
