  1. And, maybe the funniest thing about Palm's bowl projections is he had Purdue playing in one.
  2. This was put out on December 2nd. So, it was AFTER Northwestern lost to MSU and after Maryland lost to us. My main gripe wasn't about Wisconsin, as he was clearly assuming they would beat us. I just threw it in there to add extra emphasis to his stupidity. The other two teams getting better bowls than us is what I find to be a joke.
  3. Speaking of Bowls, did anyone see the absurd Bowl Projections from the resident Purdue idiot Jerry Palm from earlier this week? Has a Northwestern team that lost to a team we beat easily (MSU) playing in a Selection Committee Bowl. And, Northwestern will most assuredly have a 2nd loss once OSU beats them by 40 in the Big Championship Game. Also, has Wisconsin playing in a Selection Committee Bowl. Granted this was before we beat them, but still...... And, here is the kicker. He has Maryland, a team we just beat easily, playing 5th ranked Texas A&M, while he has us playing a 4 loss Auburn team. He gets PAID for this shiat? https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/bowls/predictions/
  4. You can't be serious when the 7-1 team lost the head to head, especially when 2 of the 5-0 team's cancellations are not their fault. You've got some super duper homer glasses on tonight Scott.
  5. Correct. And, if they don't play next week, it will be Michigan cancelling. The whole Covid thing is a mess, but you can't blame BOTH teams when a game gets cancelled. If IU was scheduled to play Maryland when OSU was, then we would have the cancellation, not them.
  6. Or, we got lucky. OSU's first missed game was not their fault, if I recall correctly.
  7. Disregarding for a moment that the Big Ten would not do the same for Indiana, I have no problem with OSU representing the conference in the Big ten Championship. They beat us fair and square (though we had our chances) and no one else in the conference was going to beat them. For me, going to the Championship game on a technicality isn't the way I want to do it. We're good this year. We deserve recognition. But, a New Years Day bowl is sufficient. Let's just take care of business next week to help make that a reality.
  8. Somehow I think the playoff committee will still find a way to rank us 12th. 😠
  9. Well, that sucks. The Zags have undefeated potential, which we obviously do not want. Not good that a potential loss is taken off the board.

  11. Big weekend next Saturday at Southport. Of most interest to us is the last game. That's Duncomb's team playing the #1 team in Indiana. Southport, Dec. 12 2:00 pm North Central (Indianapolis) vs. Franklin Central 3:30 pm Gary West vs. Southport 5:00 pm North Harrison vs. Barr-Reeve 6:30 pm Fort Wayne Blackhawk vs. Silver Creek 8:20 pm Cincinnati Moeller (Ohio) vs. Lawrence North
  12. Stumbled across this bracket of the Worst Christmas Songs Ever. And here is the Winner! The Christmas Shoes - YouTube
  13. Don't know. On the livestream last night it appeared he was still limping a bit when the team was coming out of and going to the locker room. Have not needed him yet, but a couple of big games next week.
  14. Watching LiveStreams of as many Silver Creek games as I can. Not the same as being there though. Covid Sucks.
  15. Bing Crosby did the quintessential 'White Christmas', but others have done it and done it well. Elvis recorded the most famous version of 'Blue Christmas', but others have done it and done it well. Same with Nat King Cole and 'The Christmas Song'. But no one has ever, nor likely ever will, come close to duplicating what Elmo and Patsy managed to accomplish with 'Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer'. I can't fathom anyone else recording this song and it being anywhere close to the same. Elmo & Patsy - Grandma Got Run over by a Reindeer - YouTube
  16. That's the point. The page was just updated in the last day or two. Yet, there is no checkmark.
  17. 247's newest rankings have him at 65, so down a couple of spots. But, his summer game abuse of Furst appears to have been noticed, as Furst dropped 13 spots in the rankings. 2021 Top Basketball Recruits (247sports.com) A question though. Did Duncomb not sign his LOI yet? 247 has him as a hard commit, but did not add the checkmark for signing a LOI.

  20. When I was in my teens an early adulthood, I did not care for this Christmas song. As I've gotten older, and become much more reflective, it's one of my favorites (though I will always dislike the replacement of 'Christ' with the ;X'). Happy Xmas (War Is Over) - YouTube
  21. The Duke / UK recruiting strategy just does not work in today's game.

  23. My point is she used the word 'travel' and not 'congregate'. If I stay local and congregate with 50 people at my grandma's house, I'm exponentially spreading it just as much as if I travel to Mississippi, only stopping once to get gas along the way. In fact, if my Mississippi family is only 10 people, I'm actually safer than I would be staying home with the 50 people at grandma's (who may all live locally).
  24. Look, I get it. people should not have travelled at Thanksgiving. That said, stating that 'you should assume you are infected' if you did travel is a fear mongering statement. Something like 46 states were already in red status before Thanksgiving. So, how much impact did travelling for the holidays really have? If I am wearing a mask and washing my hands properly, am I more likely to catch the virus filling up at a gas station in Mississippi on my way to visit Aunt Molly than I am at the grocery in my hometown? If I an wearing a mask and washing my hands properly, am I more likely to catch the virus visiting asymptomatic relatives than I am working next to asymptomatic co-workers at the office? Truthfully, at this point, what does TRAVELLING have to do with the spreading virus when it is already prevalent in virtually every county in the country? It's not like the guy travelling from New York to L.A. is introducing this thing to California. That bridge was crossed a long time ago. https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/30/health/us-coronavirus-monday/index.html
