Defense and rebounding got him in the rotation at the end of the year...But if he wants solid minutes this year, he'll have to shoot at or near that 40% rate with more volume... I have no issue with adding another wing, necessarily... I highly doubt you're bringing in a ringer in that spot though. No one close to the caliber of Knecht, imo. He doesn’t need to be a volume guy necessarily just be able to catch and shoot when open. It’s defending the 3/4 that will determine when and how much he plays. Woody likes to be able to switch on D. Maybe more time for Malik and Ware at the “4” and Deloach and Sparks at 5. I think their perimeter shooting would work with pick and pops at that spot. Both can rim protect at other end on D. I think d they are interchangeable. Malik and ware still time at the 5 too, but I think the size and shooting of those lineups could be a big mismatch. Also maybe the staff sees something in Gunn and/or Newton for next year. All question marks. Regardless we need a 4 that can stretch they D and shoot. Agree IU does need wing help. Banks has the potential to be a really good 4, and has good hands and a nose for the ball when rebounding. Geronimo had neither, but was a great athlete.
