I absolutely thought the officials were poor, and teams should NOT have to count on that on the road. But we had our chances, made some stupid decisions and missed some open shots. We had our chances, poor officials or not, is all I’m saying.

Oh, the tough guy / internet warrior is back again. Coaches don’t make non-stop excuses either. But we can all count on you and a couple others to enlighten us on “everything” basketball though. Your show is old man. You keep making your excuses. I’ll keep giving my opinions. Don’t like it, don’t comment.

Sounds good to me. Dude is 2 for his last 11 when we needed him the most. Along with a stupid foul on a 3 that KILLED us.

I’m not so pissed about them not getting called for fouls as I am for some of the fouls they’ve called on us. But what do we expect? Don’t be stupid… which is tough for a low IQ team.

Then another senior MK fouls an 87% FT shooter off the ball for ZERO reason.

Parker Stewart kills us on D, way more than MK. Fouling on that 3 was a game changer. Instead of having the ball up 6, it’s a four point swing. Unbelievable for a senior to make that type of mistake. Needs to be sitting.

Aren’t you the one that said this is big boy basketball now with all of the NIL money getting thrown around (I.e. being a business) and that CMW needs to do what he wants with the roster, feelings be damned?

You’re assuming that we come out ready to play with defensive intensity / will to win……. the same things that were missing on senior night in a must win game at home in the second half. Not holding my breath! You think these kids even understand the importance?

So, right now we’re lined up against UM, then possibly Wiscy, then IA or OSU. Bring it on. This team has a second chance to prove their worth.

Yeah, I don’t think Leal deserves to be in that conversation. Smart player that will knock down shots with enough opportunity. Lander, you’re absolutely correct IMO… along with MK and PS for sure. But if we’re really going to upgrade through the portal a couple more guys will have to go. Question is, will there really be very many game changers available through the portal? Enough where we’re able to get a couple of them. Outside of XJ, I can’t say any of the other portal guys have been a success, or what we need to really take the next step.

Prob because neither has made a whole lot of them this year. They can’t get their own shots, so they typically don’t get a bunch of looks. I’d say tonight was an anomaly and both bombed.

I agree for the most part, PS and MK lost this game. But TJD had two rebounds in the second half, missed a huge bunny late (yet again), and just looked defeated (bc he got dominated down low) late bc he couldn’t get a decent shot. All-Americans don’t let that happen. If you can’t score then you get 10 boards. Impact the game in some way!

Kopp and PS were 3-14 from 3. Just awful. I’ll be quite blunt and say I’m not interested in either being back next year. Both are one dimensional and for Stewart, sure he shoots it well overall, but he has to rely on somebody else to get him a look. God, can we please have a shooter next year that other teams actually fear!? Also, TJD disappeared in the second half, but what’s new for him when the going gets tough late? Typically disappears. Or at least he has quite a bit the second part of the season. No way on Earth we win at Mackey, so I’m guessing we need, at minimum, two wins in the Big (which isn’t happening) to make the semis and we’ll still be sweating on selection day. Depressing as usual.
