There’s a difference in being realistic and being pessimistic.

Kentucky basketball is still one class (only football of the big sports has classes) and there seems to always be Cinderellas make it to the Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena. Now, all Lexington schools, Louisville schools, and NKY schools where the big powerhouses / catholic schools are have their separate regions, so each gets one representative, meaning that there are 13 other regions where the region champion turns over pretty regular. The only ones hurt in this scenario are the smaller, non-Catholic schools in Lex, Louisville, or NKY. But under KY’s system you’ll have plenty of hope, belief any team in any given season could make a run.

Are they though? Our schedule is considerably weaker and we def have a better team. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not pushing for CMW to lose his job, but I’m not sure CAM does any worse with this roster. CAM wouldn’t have gotten this roster, so it’s better from that standpoint. But to desire more or have expected more from CMW doesn’t make some of us crazy IMO. The roster DOES have limitations and I’m hopeful he’s on the right path to fix it, but at the same time he constantly has questionable lineups in a game (like last night) that just kills us for prolonged periods. He’s definitely got growing pains going on (or at least I just hope that’s what they are).

Folks….. it’s only going to get worse. OSU will beat us like MSU did. We MIGHT beat MD, but I expect us to lose at Minny (even though they’ve been bad lately… so are we), wouldn’t be surprised if we lose at home to Rutgers (who isn’t collapsing), and Purdue will smash us.

Out-toughed Out-smarted Out-coached PG play was atrocious. Can not believe XJ reverted to what he was at the beginning of the season with the piss poor shot selection / decisions. He absolutely cost us the game. New season, same results ….. another collapse.

We can talk about how great XJ has been this year, but he has single-handedly cost us this game with poor shot selection / basketball IQ.

For 2-3 minutes we’ve had a terrible lineup in the game. Some real low IQ basketball.

Every parent that sends their kid to that place just expects Calipari to make a lottery pick out of them. Most don’t pan out unless they are likely lottery picks to begin with.

We just expect the slide based on previous years. Maybe CMW will stop that trend! Better team than past years, no excuses at this point. Need to get it done.

A hug is not a basketball move, that’s why. Sure, smart if it’s allowed, but it’s not and shouldn’t be in IMO. Be smart enough to make an attempt at the ball and foul if that’s your intention.
