I really want to be optimistic, and say we should/will win the next three but…..

Yes, we have more talent. Do we still stink? Yes. But we stink more so from not being mentally tough enough. We’ve been in all but two games all year. But we have a team full of softies and a staff who didn’t improve this team as the season went.

This season is MORE disappointing IMO bc we have more talent, yet same results.

It doesn’t. And I’m not interested in watching guys stand around the perimeter anymore while they wait on TJD to try to score down low. Give me the three incoming freshmen, TG, AL, JG, TB, and LD and then hit the portal to grab five hard-nosed guys with basketball IQ for next year. Not interested in the circus that is KL anymore either. In these new NIL days, this is big boy basketball. Hope CMW is concerned about finding 13 guys that can move this program forward next year, be damned with feelings.

I’m ready for a blow-up! Not sure I want any of the “one year left” guys returning. Give me the freshmen back and hit the portal hard to find tough nosed kids that don’t wilt at the end of games. Preferably ones that can shoot a little bit.

He assumed another adult would be able to hash out their differences with respect and move on. Obviously, he should have known that Howard was a thug that doesn’t act like an adult when things don’t go his way.

Prob because he’s an adult and figures Howard could act like one too, give their reasonings, hash it out, and move on. Poor timing? Maybe? I’m sure Gard didn’t expect Howard to react that way. Guess there was a difference between giving a hoot that there was no bad blood afterwards and not giving a hoot.

I’d personally want at least two of the current seniors and one freshman (eligibility-wise) to be gone. I won’t name guys, but I’m sure a couple we’d really like to stay will leave too. Guessing 5 guys will move on. With the three incoming freshmen, we’ll add a couple transfers…. hopefully a shooter and a big.

Don’t take this offensively, just giving an opinion. I think we’ve gotten so soft in society. I think there’s a difference in what Gard did and really putting your hands on somebody. If you shake somebody’s hand in that situation and don’t let go as soon as the other person is ready to, is that putting your hands on somebody? Pushing, hitting, poking somebody, yes, but grabbing his arm in a normal fashion that you would while shaking his hand isn’t “putting your hands on somebody”? I realize Howard was pissed already which blew things out of proportion, but I guarantee Gard’s initial contact with Howard was no different than any other handshake line Howard has gone through. He just wasn’t pissed in the others. JMO. With that said, I hate Davis, Davison, and everything Wisconsin! But the answer to hating them isn’t punching them or stooping to their level. It’s finishing games like the one we blew and putting L’s next to their name.

Look man, I hate Wiscy as much as you, but all Gard was trying to do was defuse the situation / explain after Howard was barking at him for calling a TO. I would have called a TO too if I had my walk-ons in up 15 points with 30 secs left and the other team was pressing with their starters. Again, I hate Davis, Davison … and everything Wisconsin, but saying he put his hands on him is petty. Howard / UM got their rear ends busted and he handled it extremely poorly. He should at minimum be suspended the rest of the year for that crap.

He should be fired in my opinion. As much as I hate Wiscy, Gard was simply trying to explain / smooth the friction. A head coach swinging as somebody is ridiculous. Great example for your kids buddy.
