I didn’t realize I called people clueless for focusing on the 80%. I was just clarifying the point of the post for IUScott. It’s also okay for people to acknowledge we played phenomenal basketball for 80% of the time while also acknowledging that we were pathetic trying to put the game away the last 8 minutes. Probably suit everybody better if people didn’t worry about what everybody else was focusing on and just discuss / debate right?

I want a run with momentum going into the NCAA tournament.

I’m thinking a high % for Kopp and RP (kid has taken a beating in his career) making speeches. 50/50 on RT and PS. Only 25% on XJ. I would only be extremely disappointed about one of those first four leaving.

He’s not complaining about the win. He’s complaining about other people making excuses for the last 8 minutes which were ABSOLUTELY pathetic.

I like it. Payback for UM, and we can absolutely beat Wiscy and OSU. I see a path to the finals quite honestly! Don’t mean to get ahead of myself, but we match up well with those teams. Not so confident we beat Purdue or Illinois but anything can happen once you get to that point.

32 phenomenal minutes followed by 8 pathetic minutes (some circus shots or not) that almost led to another embarrassing Indiana moment. But, a road win is a road win, and I’ll take it. Rutgers is a must win.

I know, but it’s fair to speculate either way based on the info we do know. Saying “we don’t know” assumes that nobody has any idea, which we also “don’t know” is accurate. I try to not speak in absolutes like some if I don’t know something for sure or if something is an opinionated topic, so I apologize if that’s the way it came off.

Do you know that CMW attempted to keep Al? I read plenty of quotes and articles about CMW fighting to keep TJD and RT. I don’t remember a single one about Al. I guess Al could have told CMW there was no chance of him staying, but I don’t remember CMW mentioning that he would have liked to keep him. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Fair enough. He’s playing different competition now though. I disagree we’d be any better as a team. However, you certainly could be right about us beating Nwestern. He would not have been suspended.

Big was too physical for Al. I agree with you completely, we’re a better team with PS. There’s a reason CMW didn’t fight to keep Al.

Better coach makes Al look better? His individual offensive numbers are mediocre at best. What he brings to the defensive end and the locker room is the bigger piece I’m guessing. The team fits his shortcomings better where we were relying on him to be a scorer.

At one point he was 8-19 😬, so I’m not sure he went off, kept them in the game, etc. He might have shot them out of it. Edit: Looks like he finished 9-21. Lucky for him he hit a couple circus threes to go 5-9 from the arc. Overall, not really very good although it appeared to be.

Going to be a struggle in their gym. Hope everybody shows up. We need this one badly.

I’ve been critical of XJ at times this year, but no way is he on DG’s level of frustration! XJ makes some poor decisions, but EVERY decision DG made was poor.

XJ - MVP by far. No chance to win games without him playing well. TJD - Always a force on D, but man his offense has been poor lately. Missed a bunch of bunnies again. Sporadic on FTs. Kopp - finally provided a little spark, but need him to hit 3s. PS - has to shoot better or shouldn’t play. RT - a couple careless turnovers, but another workman-like performance for him. TB - exact opposite performance from OSU. Has to be smarter with decision-making. AL/JG - Solid sparks off the bench Must win game coming up at Minny. 😬

Their lack of on floor leadership will burn them.

Our schedule this year has been a lot weaker than last. I don’t think that’s a good comparison to make.

I want both back with the assumption they’ll be PART of the offense, not all of the offense. I have zero interest in watching these two back guys down while our perimeter guys stand around doing nothing. If the offense is going to be the same, no thanks, I’m ready to move on. Call me an idiot. I don’t care.

And they’ve played much better lately.

Fairly certain we’d play #8 in the first game if we’re #9.
