  1. Looks like good news coming out of the American Journal of Therapeutics https://journals.lww.com/americantherapeutics/fulltext/2021/08000/ivermectin_for_prevention_and_treatment_of.7.aspx "Conclusions: Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin. Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally." If further research confirms this, how many died unnecessarily because it was being used more widely?
  2. A had a previous home with a flat roof over one room. I thought I'd use a white coating to help reflect some heat. I'm sure it was better than the typical black coating but after a month it was all dirty from the water that would pool there and all the dirt and debris that accumulated. The bright white didn't last long at all.
  3. Not working too well on VT (at slowing the spread) -
  4. WSJ article on climate change that actually points out both sides of an argument https://archive.fo/E03QZ
  5. Thanks for saving me some time. I had that open on my desktop to look into further later today.
  6. I see so many stories that make it hard to believe we are getting the whole truth. Here is one from today- https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/09/covid-whistleblower-wu-flu-fraud-vaers-reporting-database-tracking-vaccine-complications-wrong-factor-100/ If the stats are off by a factor of 2, that's 100 percent and a major story, let alone a factor of near 100. I have no idea who this Dr is and if she is credible but I'm not ready to summarily dismiss it as fantasy either. Hopefully, we can get to the bottom of these issues.
  7. This type of story makes me sick- https://nationalfile.com/doctor-wants-to-be-scary-to-the-public-and-inflate-covid-numbers-if-you-dont-get-vaccinated-you-know-youre-going-to-die/
  8. No one is saying Ivermectin is the magical cure. Can you acknowledge that it may be part of the solution? How about it deserves further study and should not be censored by YouTube and others? If not, how do you explain its success elsewhere - like the reports from India and @Inequality?
  9. Some degradation might be an understatement. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-9995149/People-received-Moderas-vaccine-early-TWICE-likely-breakthrough-infection.html
  10. Thanks and well said. Agree completely. And congrats on the weight loss !
  11. If I see relevant information, I like to bring it here and pass it along. Does not necessarily mean I believe it- or support it. Some people might find it interesting and or beneficial. I know I have found stuff from far right and far left outlets. In general, I favor vaccines for those 30+ and or in at risk groups (more the UK model than the Israel model), believe in transparency and more choices are better, along with keeping mandates to a minimum. It is undeniable vaccines have minimized the severity and deaths. I hope they keep improving. I believe natural antibodies are superior to the vaccine and believe they should count (looks the CDC is finally recognizing this) in the US as much as they do in the rest of the world. I like to post things that are perhaps new and or on the fringe as they bring more discussion. Some have proved prophetic- and others plain wrong!
  12. HSN is not the void! I don't know how you can say this vaccine is so proven and successful less than 12 months in- or that Ivermectin is not proven as it has been around much longer than the vaccine and, it could be argued, that it has a better safety record. Million are being given it, and other drugs, around the world. So there is not years of study as it relates to COVID, but that is same with every option right now. Perhaps some of the problems are for people taking it on their own and not at a recommended dose? If people were truly dying from it in large numbers, I'd imagine we would hear about that - in addition to to the millions that have benefitted from it. I think it is a mistake to bury our heads in the sand and not learn from what other countries are doing well, and poor, with. We do know that there are complications and deaths (albeit minimal) from the vaccines so it is not risk free. Turning around your statement, It's funny to me that there is such resistance to a proven, wildly successful therapeutic. I think it way too premature to say "It is dangerous and unproven for treating COVID, especially when compared to the vaccine." I don't see people arguing against the vaccines for therapeutics. Like @tdhoosier just said above, I think it is common sense that BOTH have a role. Yet some people, for whatever reason, want to censor and or diminish certain talk. I don't get that. That is the contrary to the essence of science. Try different methods and report honest results. Then people can accurately decide whether the Pfizer, Moderna, or other vaccine is best for them- or maybe not to get a vaccine. I recently read this- The study found vaccinated individuals carry 251 times the load of COVID-19 viruses in their nostrils compared to the unvaccinated. While moderating the symptoms of infection, the jab allows vaccinated individuals to carry unusually high viral loads without becoming ill at first, potentially transforming them into presymptomatic superspreaders. This phenomenon may be the source of the shocking post-vaccination surges in heavily vaccinated populations globally. https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3897733 To early, IMO, to tell how accurate this is but would be rather scary if true!
  13. India having good success with Ivermectin. https://indianexpress.com/article/cities/lucknow/uttar-pradesh-government-says-ivermectin-helped-to-keep-deaths-low-7311786/ Are we too beholden to Pfizer to study and try this here?
  14. More good news- https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/local/michigan/2021/09/09/spectrum-health-workers-can-use-natural-immunity-vaccine-mandate-exemption/8262491002/ This seems logical... hopefully we will see more like this.
  15. Major news here. International group of all star scientists say booster not needed. Pfizer and Moderna stock falls as a result. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/09/13/covid-booster-shots-data-shows-third-shots-not-appropriate-at-this-time-scientists-conclude.html
  16. I was at the White Sox game last night. They had a nice tribute to 9 11. A Chicago policewoman got choked up singing the national Anthem and had to pause and the crowd erupted. Was rather moving. Brief chant of USA afterword. Several other smaller tributes with the first pitch and hero of the game.
  17. I get what you are saying but the separate rules are problem. Do postal workers not need vaccine passports to eat in restaurants? Fly on planes (I believe that is coming)? Carve outs are problematic whenever and however they are used. Why doesn't Congress and the USPS voluntarily agree to abide by the rules the rest of the country is being forced to? I believe in the servant part of public servants. Public office should not be a way to enrich themselves and their families which unfortunately has too often become the case of late. Our leaders should not have better health care plans than the average person. Time and again we see certain groups getting preferential treatment and that undermines what is supposed to be a fair and equal Society
  18. Woo hoo! https://www.nbcnews.com/science/science-news/denmark-lifts-covid-restrictions-crediting-high-vaccine-uptake-rcna1967
  19. The effectiveness is waning. It was originally 95%+, now 75% or so (because of the delta variant). I'm addition, we know that effectiveness decreases over time as well. I heard something like 5%/mo Sorry-just saw you confused falling with failing
  20. No basis in science for excluding postal workers and members of congress from mandatory vaccines being imposed on much of the US. . Last I heard, those classes did not have different DNA from the rest of us that protects them. And when Fauci was asked why people with natural immunity were required to be vaccinated, his reply was "I don't have a firm answer for that" Because IT IS NOT BASED ON SCIENCE! Do any other developed countries not count natural immunity? I'm not aware of any.
  21. You know there is no basis in science when postal workers, and certain other groups, are excluded.
  22. A previously unknown fact has emerged that lab tampering was undertaken on MERS-like coronaviruses, which are even deadlier than their SARS-like relatives. And this from an article in the Telegraph https://archive.fo/RmJgT Teenage boys are six times more likely to suffer from heart problems from the vaccine than be hospitalised from Covid-19, a major study has found Children who face the highest risk of a “cardiac adverse event” are boys aged between 12 and 15 following two doses of a vaccine, according to new research from the US.
  23. Article on CDC misrepresenting the numbers- https://www.coreysdigs.com/health-science/cdc-bases-covid-jab-death-toll-on-doses-not-people-as-death-toll-topples-all-other-vaccines-for-3-decades/
  24. From a conference call I was on with Scott Gottlieb, MD (former FDA Commissioner, on the board of Pfizer)- Delta wave seems to have peaked in the south but not yet in the Northeast. Good news for this wave and future waves- Based on a sample of 1.4 million blood donation specimens collected in the US from July 2020 through May 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that the combined (infection- and vaccine-induced) SARSCoV-2 seroprevalence in the US was at 83.3 percent. The level of seroprevalence has likely increased since the study was conducted as authors estimated that as of May 2021, there were 2.1 infections per each reported case. Since May 31, there have been some 7,012,409 additional reported infections in the US. With 75% of US adults having at least 1 vaccine dose and 40-50% of people in the US having had Covid, the disease will collapse rather quickly. It does a good job finding vulnerable (unvaccinated) pockets -one of which is now children. Children are likely to drive future infections since they are less vaccinated and will be getting tested more now they are back in school. Will continue to see lower hospitalizations and deaths due to their generally better health. Pfizer and Moderna developing separate vaccines for kids 0-5 and 6-11 which is actually the same vaccine but at 1/3 of the dose. Could possibly be approved by Dec of this year. Gottlieb believes the Pandemic phase will pass later this year / over the winter and then will become endemic like flu. Expects another mild flu season this year but eventually we will be in for a whopper of a flu season. Flu combined with Covid will likely drive future changes of behavior. Boosters will help broaden immunity and benefit at risk populations but still a very open question if they will be needed/ required for everyone. Israel decided to give everyone boosters.
