  1. I could add all sorts of examples to this thread but I will stick to one I haven't seen mentioned. Some places have small, medium, large sizes for their value meals. I always get the small. A handful of times, they don't ask and just assume the large size to make a little more $. In the past, I've just went along with it as I know the employees and restaurants have had it rough. Call it a tip. Now, I'm getting tired of the practice and just saw today fast food sales are up double digits vs 2019 so no need to be gracious. A small means a small.
  2. "My informed opinion is that the lab leak theory isn’t just a "possibility," at the very least it is more like a probability, if not very close to a certainty. " https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/china-olympics-2022-covid-cover-up-games-john-ratcliffe
  3. So you're saying the SEC will be after IU next for our baseball team?
  4. Thinking of the possibility of CO in the B1G, makes me think of @milehiiu. Can only imagine his excitement at the thought.
  5. Cases mysteriously plummet in the UK AFTER restrictions are relaxed
  6. I hope someone at Fox sports recognizes what is going on and puts together a deal bringing the B1G some PAC 10 teams. The potential is out there for a super conference that can rival the SEC.
  7. You look at some of the stats last year and can make an argument he was the best QB in CFB. I truly hope he can stay healthy for the entire year and then I think he will be the top QB this year. That is his ceiling.
  8. The end of PCR tests? https://www.cdc.gov/csels/dls/locs/2021/07-21-2021-lab-alert-Changes_CDC_RT-PCR_SARS-CoV-2_Testing_1.html I wonder who will be making $ from the new tests? Is this an effort to lower the number of cases? We know the PCR results in a lot of false positives by including dead remnants of the virus at high cycle threshold levels.
  9. The ACC and PAC 10 have been suggested as a national brand to counter the SEC. The B1G would be a better fit than the ACC. Everything is going to boil down to which conference commissioner is a forward looking deal maker. I hope Warren is up to the challenge. I think a PAC 10 alliance or adding T A&M, AZ, USC, UCLA OR and either OK St or Wash. would be a legitimate rival to the SEC and anything they could pull off.
  10. If the SEC is going to be the premier conference, and IU is the southernmost B1G team, IU could shake things up and move to the SEC. FL is more important for recruiting than MN.
  11. Now bringing in CO, USC, UCLA and OR would be a statement. That's a national conference and the type of big thinking I like. Would jump over the SEC.
  12. Yes they would, the 32 ranked market. Nothing like getting into Atlanta, FL or TX. KS would be a good fit but not move the needle for the B1G.
  13. Kansas and Iowa St are AAU members and make sense academically but not so much financially. W VA doesn't add much financially either being such a poor state with a small alumni base. Texas A&M makes sense if they want to leave the SEC. Not sure they will want to tho. Would love to get them and another TX school if that is possible. I saw someone saying the ACC and PAC 12 could join together in an alliance. This would not be good for the B1G.
  14. The two schools I'd like to add are VA and GT. Seems to make the most sense considering geography, academics and athletics. Plus, it would harm the ACC which is realistically our main competition for second place after the SEC.
  15. They don't even list Kansas, lol https://sports.yahoo.com/big-ten-were-revisit-expansion-163159391.html
  16. I wish I was confident Warren would be able to handle this but after the fiasco last fall I have my doubts.
  17. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/texas-oklahoma-expected-to-declare-intent-to-leave-big-12-in-24-48-hours-with-sec-as-landing-spot/ Predict Kansas and Iowa State to the B1G
  18. Me too. With Carr getting some pre season accolades, I'd expect him to move up. Maybe just giving James and Baldwin some recognition here? The big thing I will be looking for this year is how our running backs do. If they do well, it means are O line has improved and we should be in for a good season.
  19. The White Sox start a series with the Brewers today. For the first time in MLB history, there are five All-Star pitchers starting in 1 series. Kind of cool. Is this a World Series preview?
  20. I have had good results with my inversion table. Haven't needed to use it in over a year now. Highly recommend for older people with back issues. Bought mine on Amazon for much less than the Teeter brand.
  21. I think the key to understand is that while the vaccinated are getting infected, the vaccines are doing their jobs and limiting the seriousness (hospitalizations and deaths not increasing nearly to the level of infections). I think natural immunity is likely better than the vaccines and would like to know how many people that had COVID are getting reinfected. Seems to me we should be tracking immunity with antibody tests and not focusing so much on the vaccines (for admission to IU as an example). Also, COVID is 1000+ times worse for the older than younger (unsure what age groups were used) and most older are now vaccinated. Younger people getting infected and not being hospitalized and dying COULD be beneficial. We'll have to see how that plays out. Key is to keep getting older and at risk persons vaccinated.
  22. Offered by IU. From MS. #141 DL in the country. Top offer was from Baylor. Video in link below. https://247sports.com/college/indiana/Article/Indiana-Hoosiers-football-2022-Mississippi-defensive-lineman-Kalvin-Dinkins-has-picked-up-an-offer-from-the-IU-program-168065658/
  23. I think there is a difference between 60 year olds and 20 year olds here. How many 20 year olds have natural antibodies due to having already had Covid? Are antibody tests ok for the University? If not, why not? Mandating vaccines for people that have already had Covid is a new issue here. What types of studies have been done on young people and those who already have immunity? What are the risks for young people not being vaccinated? We know they do not represent a large % of the hospitalizations and deaths. Until some of these questions get answered, it is natural, and healthy IMO, to have some skepticism.
