  1. Offered by IU. From MS. #141 DL in the country. Top offer was from Baylor. Video in link below. https://247sports.com/college/indiana/Article/Indiana-Hoosiers-football-2022-Mississippi-defensive-lineman-Kalvin-Dinkins-has-picked-up-an-offer-from-the-IU-program-168065658/
  2. I think there is a difference between 60 year olds and 20 year olds here. How many 20 year olds have natural antibodies due to having already had Covid? Are antibody tests ok for the University? If not, why not? Mandating vaccines for people that have already had Covid is a new issue here. What types of studies have been done on young people and those who already have immunity? What are the risks for young people not being vaccinated? We know they do not represent a large % of the hospitalizations and deaths. Until some of these questions get answered, it is natural, and healthy IMO, to have some skepticism.

  4. Sounds like a ruse to lure you in. I'm surprised you're turning yourself in. Better calI that atty specializing in "intra family" matters that you have on speed dial.
  5. Good luck with that. Praying for a speedy recovery! My shoulder has been bothering me for the last 2 months. Going to Physical Therapy now. Minor rotator cuff issue. No idea what aggravated. Just getting older and 50 years of wear and tear.
  6. For pieces of chicken, KFC original is my favorite as well. Browns chicken # 2. Honorable mention White Fence Farm
  7. Variant news- https://www.wsj.com/articles/delta-variant-hospitalizations-covid-coronavirus-vaccine-immunity-11626374706?mod=hp_opin_pos_1 "A new study from the U.K. found that vaccines are still incredibly effective at preventing serious illness with the Delta variant circulating. The Pfizer vaccine was 96% effective after two doses at preventing hospitalization, meaning the average unvaccinated person in the study was more than 25 times as likely to be hospitalized with Covid as the average vaccinated one. (This almost certainly understates the protectiveness of the vaccine, as the vaccinated cohort was older and had a higher incidence of pre-existing conditions than the unvaccinated one.) The Johnson & Johnson vaccine produces strong neutralizing antibodies and cellular responses against the Delta variant, still present eight months after administration. Studies from Canada and the U.K. show 79% to 87% effectiveness against symptomatic infection with the Delta variant. On July 8 the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration asserted their confidence in the vaccines. They jointly announced that no boosters are necessary at this time. This is all excellent news, as is the finding that 99% of hospitalizations for Covid-19 are among unvaccinated people. The vaccines are as good as first heralded, even against new variants. (…) When we look at current hospitalization data across the country, the most striking predictive pattern is that a high vaccination rate in a region accurately predicts a lower hospitalization rate. (…) So far, as we march through the variant alphabet, none of the predicted doomsday scenarios in virulence or vaccine resistance have come to pass."
  8. I had Zaxby's for the first time last month when driving thru KY. It was good. Popeyes has my favorite chicken sandwich. Big piece of meat with a nice crunchy crust. Raising Canes is good for chicken strips. Always seem to be hot and juicy.
  9. I have no clue, that was awhile ago. I know some argue the lethality is less because the age group is generally younger. I don't think I've seen anything comparing lethality by age group. This seemed to be a pretty balanced article - https://amp.theatlantic.com/amp/article/619301/ In general, it seems that mutations increase transmisability but decrease lethality. From what I've read, that seems to be what is happening with these variants
  10. No pics but my wife brought in our first green pepper and first 4 cucumbers. I think we are up to near 10 zucchini. Strawberries didn't do well. Baby rabbit snuck thru our fence and ravaged her peas. Looks like tomatoes are coming soon.
  11. Some excess death #'s- https://www.axios.com/drug-overdose-deaths-surged-2020-57531e69-cc16-4615-a5b0-31b4e26ef2bc.html 20k+ more than the previous year.
  12. Hmmm, a honeymoon in advance... Not sure that qualifies. You may need to think about another vacation.
  13. Whew! I went a slightly unconventional route as well. We eloped. No family, just the two of us for a two week honeymoon. It was a second marriage for the both of us so we had both already done a traditional wedding.
  14. Is there actually any talk / realistic chance of a realignment or is this all just wishful fan thinking?
  15. Congratulations! Hope you still think of a honeymoon as conventional!
  16. If there are, I'd like to see that.
  17. https://journals.lww.com/americantherapeutics/fulltext/2021/06000/review_of_the_emerging_evidence_demonstrating_the.4.aspx Conclusions: Meta-analyses based on 18 randomized controlled treatment trials of ivermectin in COVID-19 have found large, statistically significant reductions in mortality, time to clinical recovery, and time to viral clearance. Furthermore, results from numerous controlled prophylaxis trials report significantly reduced risks of contracting COVID-19 with the regular use of ivermectin. Finally, the many examples of ivermectin distribution campaigns leading to rapid population-wide decreases in morbidity and mortality indicate that an oral agent effective in all phases of COVID-19 has been identified.
  18. Looks good. I have a few of the screwless switchplates but my obsession stops with making sure the screw heads are all horizontal.
  19. My wife is squeamish about strangers in our vehicles so we rarely valet. She lysols the vehicle every time I bring it back after servicing. Do you tip the valet in advance? Otherwise wouldn't it be too late to keep them from going through your stuff?
  20. I wouldn't say it its a rule but I like to have the total bill end in a whole dollar. I used to be a 15% guy but over the last year find myself more in the 20% and up category. If a bill is $50.50 I would tip $10.50 to make the total $61. Probably goes back to the days of balancing a checkbook manually and trying to save myself some time. One category you missed is bartenders. Depending on the place, and how many singles I have, it is either $1 or $2 / beer for me.
  21. A hot summer out west- https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2021/07/08/heat-wave-west-california-nevada/
  22. No doubt. Death reporting has been messed up all along. First, too many deaths linked to COVID, now too many linked to the vaccine.
