  1. That just made no sense. Bad shot taken way too early.
  2. Then he makes me look bad...lol.
  3. We need to do a better job of getting Stewart some shots.
  4. Can someone explain the rule behind a flagrant foul for me. Like there was no intent to injure on that last play but the guy made zero effort to go after the ball.
  5. Yeah, surprised Keifer lasted as long as he did. There is no way you can have that kind of discrepancy without a screw job going on IMO.
  6. Maybe keeping our heads down for a little bit so we don't lose BIG games. I was at the clinic to get tested this week in the Indianapolis area. They said a bunch of people are testing positive now. They may be hoping that this mostly burns through if they keep a low profile.
  7. We'll see here. If my local area is any indication, Omicron might be burning fast and furious through the country right now.
  8. If we start landing guys like this, I fully believe Woodson will have us being a load to handle. UNC is under new management. Duke is about to be under new management. The natives are restless down south. Now is as good a time as any for Woodson to lean on that NBA pedigree and reassert Indiana as a real player for the top kids. You bring in talent, this staff will win.
  9. Yes, I think that is the one thing I would like to see Woodson change up. Geronimo and Durr would benefit having Race or TJD (respectively) out on the court with them as well IMO. I think we are going to have to look at that type of thing when we play Purdue for instance. I know they do the mass subs to try and get guys time on the floor, but I think that guys would have more productive time if we were doing more "normal" substitution patterns.
  10. It was garbage that he got a technical foul in the first place. He defended his teammate in a controlled way and the fact he got a technical foul on that call was about as bad of a call as I have seen in a long while.
  11. I haven't been as pissed off after a game in years like I was after the Wisconsin game. I don't get mad when I don't have a legitimate expectation that things could or will go well. That is all to say, there is a noticeable difference IMO between the past few years. I have seen it pointed out that Woodson doing sideline coaching with TJD had dividends the very next game. The other two were opposite extremes with the same outcome. One ran around like a lunatic during the games and the other just stood and stared. It appears coaching is going on...frankly I have not always felt that way over the past decade plus. I am with you, finish top half of BIG, continue to improve and then see if we get hot in March. This team has a ceiling on par with some of the best teams in the country. Unfortunately we have a lower floor. If we get the best this team has to offer, they will he competitive with anyone in the country. They just need to figure out how to maximize their potential more often.
  12. Oh yeah, they were throwing everyone under the bus and putting it into reverse to make sure they got everyone.
  13. You should check out their forum...looks like the Archie days over here and then end of Crean. Also, I believe we are in a transition period right now. There is a changing of the guard that is going to be occurring here real soon. UNC already had theirs. Duke is due up at the end of this year. If UK keeps underperforming, I think Cal might decide "screw this" and move on. I bet Boeheim leaves when his sons are done. Izzo is getting up there. The old guard is about to completely move on. And when they do, I don't see all these coaches rushing to get into the meat grinder. I think many of those schools will have fans talking about grabbing the next big name but will come to find out that the names aren't really looking to leave. So you are either hiring "in house" like UNC and Indiana just did or you are doing what Indiana tried before that and hoping to hit on and up and comer. I think it is much harder to build established programs now then it was back in the 90's when teams like UNC, Duke, Kansas, and Kentucky started to separate themselves from the pack. Transfers, one and done rule, 30 second shot clock....it is hard to build a program anymore because you are either having to hit on and develop every recruiting class or you have to have a revolving door of NBA players who are around for a year to consistently compete and that is hard to do.
  14. To clarify, was not complaining, really just stating the obvious. Those are two tough games.
  15. Going to be tough games. Since UK is afraid of Indiana, we went and got KU.
  16. I don't know...there were a few posting last night and this morning that do not seem to be.
  17. I am still on board with this coaching staff but to point 5, I think Miller would probably have the same record now to be honest or maybe 1 more loss to be 6-3. The losses may have been worse, but at the end of the day, a loss is a loss. St. John's is the only real team we have a win against at this point.
  18. That is the biggest thing this team is missing IMO. We don't have a go to guy that you can rely on to go and get you a basket when you need one. I think the thing that we are all going to be disappointed with at the end of the year is how many careers here were wasted because we made an abysmal hire after Crean left. Trayce and Race still have trouble at the front of the rim. Rob is still content to dribble around without really looking to do anything and his shot is just broke. Our All American shrank from competition last night and that has happened repeatedly over his career when facing big guys who are allowed to body him. If TJD or Race are in front of the bucket and have to shoulder into a guy to try and get a shot, they miss that 7 out of 10 times. Just throwing it up there hoping for a foul call. Be disappointed in Johnson's decisions, I am quite often. However, we have several multi year guys on this team, including a pre-season All American candidate, who let a bunch of stiffs push them around last night. "That's a pretty good Wisconsin team..." If you say so. Color me wholly unimpressed. They are a 1 and done tournament team. Their hall of calls will allow them a low seed in the first round. If they end up as a 6-8 seed, I could see them bowing out first round.
  19. I was rooting for her boyfriend to get punched in the face. Dirty player and a$$hole. I get what you all are saying about Johnson and I agree, he forced too much. However, I would want that guy to have my back in a fight. He fouled bride of Frankenstein exactly like I would have at the end of that game. He was at least fighting to win.
  20. While I am in a foul mood, I hate having Bardo call every one of our games too.
  21. This game got me in trouble with the wife. I wanted to throw something through the 75 inch TV. Just. So. Tired. Of. This. %$#%. Also, I am over the Big Ten officiating. That was not a foul on Durr to go up 14. The ball went off that bridge of Frankenstein looking mofo for Wisconsin. The BIG let's the sh-- officiating happen and they end up screwing teams out of seeding or teaching "good" teams habits that get them murdered every year in the tournament. Worst officials in D1.
  22. Absolutely, I don't care if it is by 1 or 100...just get a win at this place and get to 2-0 in conference.
