That is what I can't wait to see. The big "advantages" that Teflon John had are now mostly legal for everyone. And now that he's at a decent but much less prestigious program.....
It will be interesting to see how many of his current players follow him to Arkansas, and how many look elsewhere.
-
Will Calipari be able to recruit at Arkansas like he did at Kentucky? Not so sure, but we’ll see. His time might be over. NIL and the Portal have changed everything.

I agree. Breyer's over Edy's any day of the week. Although Ben & Jerry's tops both of them.
I’ll go with Haagen-Dazs

Mark Eaton? Kevin Duckworth? Stipo and Smits?
You’re really reaching now. Smits was probably the best of that bunch, but he could actually shoot outside of 5 ft.

Mid to late 2nd round would be way off every projection I’ve seen but it’s possible. Doubt it tbh.
Projections don’t mean much. TJD was projected late 1st to early second round, and ending up being the next to last pick in the draft to many GMs’ regrets.

The lowest I’ve seen him is late first/early second.
I have nothing against him and wish him well. I just don’t see success in the NBA, but I’ve been wrong before…just ask my wife.

I’m guessing they see a guy who continues to improve every year. He’s only been playing basketball for 6 years and with his dominant 2-year stretch, someone will take a chance on him.
Probably somewhere in the 2nd round.

Shocked isn’t the word…mid to late 2nd round.
The problem is he’s slow, and isn’t an exceptional athlete. Can anyone name a 7’4” player with those traits, that has been a success in the NBA?

Highlights of TJD’s latest game.
He continues to impress throughout the league with his knowledge of the game, fundamentals, and especially his atheletism.

5-0. Don’t blame you but I’m not trading what Purdue has right now
Could get ugly next year when Edey isn’t around, and all the focus will be on stopping your guards.
-
Hats off to Edey and a great college career, but I still think he’ll struggle in the NBA. He carried the team all year, and had a great game last night, but the guards were overmatched against UConn. Everyone else but Smith, was a non factor - TKR 4 pts, Jones 5 pts, Loyer - 0 pts, Bench - 2 pts.
On to next year, and the banner count still stands - IU 5 / Purdue 0.

Well sure but when has that ever happened?
Not often, but he hasn’t played against anyone like Clingan before.

The keys to this game seem rather apparent.
If Clingan is on the bench with two with 12 min to play in H1, they are in trouble.
How do the PU guards stand up to some legit pressure?
That could easily happen to Edey as well…then what?

IU gave them a run…. They had them.
Yeah, we almost got them.

Just out played by TKR and Edey has been playing extended minutes lately.
Is he headed for the portal?

What happened to Caleb Furst…is he still on the team, injured or just not getting any playing time?

I am picking UCONN by 20+ in this one. Unless they have an off game and purdue has a tremendous game, I just don't see UCONN losing, or even a close game. 88-67 UCONN.
Probably not 20+, but more like 10-15. Either way it’s a convincing UConn win. I think Clingan will give Edey fits.

Maybe? But Nebraska and Miami football thought that too.
But neglect, incompetence, politics and intentionally destroying a program for 30 years leaves a program with a lot of rot and decay.
I guess I’m just an eternal optimist when it comes to Hoosiers’ basketball. I have no doubt we will be back and soon!

Yep. They do it the right way. They represent everything Indiana used to be.
Yeah, but IU will be back…guaranteed!

I'm not rooting for them and I think UConn will win. That said, I'm not going to become suicidal if they win. I have close family and friends that are Purdue fans. My kids went to school with TKR. I've known TKR's grandparents for over 40 years. Sometimes people around you being happy is more important than a basketball rivalry.
Actually, I’d like to see them win…I just don’t think they will. I’ll always root for an Indiana/B10 team over the rest of country, so good luck Purdue.

Jones is the difference in this being a final four Purdue team and a first weekend team.
A great example how things can change with the right moves in the portal.
