It's all about matchups. IU does not match up well with psu. If Galloway is out it gets that much more difficult. It would take a big effort from the rest of the guards including X, Cupps,  Leal and CJ.

Hoping for the best. If the season ends it may actually be better for our overall health.

    Yep, bad matchup.

The perception of Indiana this season is going to require, at a minimum, three impressive wins, and I still say probably requires us to win the whole thing.

    Here's what we need.

15 plus point win in our 1st game, regardless of the opponent.

Beat Nebraska and look good doing it.

Beat Illinois.  We cannot afford Illinois to lose before they play us.  We need to have a W against them to have any shot if we lose Sunday.

Hope Northwestern (possible) or Wisconsin (highly unlikely) can beat Purdue for us.  Even if we beat the Illini, a 20+ point beatdown by the Boilers takes away all the brownie points earned earlier in the tournament.

A run to the Championship certainly helps, but it is not surefire ticket to the dance.

Yeah, but if we get to the championship game that’s seven Ws in a row, and probably gets us back in the conversation as a bubble team. We’ll see…one at a time.

i'll give credit where credit is due and admit when i'm wrong.  i thought we'd literally lose all 4 of the last 4.  that said, they were not good teams and we didn't exactly look pretty doing it!

Is that a kinda “I was wrong?”

Honest question though. Did it? Sparty gets credited with Baylor Illinois and Indiana St......with 2 of the mentioned teams (I'm assuming quad 1 wins) wouldn't have that balanced it out? Or beating bad teams by 20 meant more? I truly don't follow it enough.

It’s hard to say because the Net is so convoluted, but if we hold home court and win those games, we’re 21-10 and 13-7 in the league. Hard to imagine with that record we wouldn’t get in the NCAAs.

I saw him get 43 today, just wondering what his stats are for the year

He averaged 20.8 pts per game, 92% from the FT line and 38.4% from three. Somebody will grab him in a hurry, but we should be in good shape to get him, if he enters the portal.

I just feel their statements should have been done separately and focus should have left on xj and those not returning

To each his own, but you have to respect them for sticking up for their coach. I consider that a positive for next year regardless of who else is back.

Outside of recent years, has anyone done senior night and then coWoodson.  This may even he a first.

I think it was all orchestrated so they could make public statements in support of woodson.

Perhaps, but I’m ok with that…showing support for your coach isn’t a bad thing in my book.

Trust me that final Kansas 6 minutes and playing at Illinois being a 62-62 tie with 1 to go without Ware is haunting me and the metric Gods.

Those would have been nice wins, but I think the home losses to Penn St, Nebraska and Northwestern hurt us more.

Guess Woodson gets to decide who the true fans are....and they apparently coincide with the ones with blind loyalty to him.  Woodson is pathetic.

If leal and Galloway are returning then why did they participate in senior night?

Maybe because they are “graduating seniors” and wanted to participate in the ceremonies.
