Wouldn't be surprised to see the Huskies in the playoff conversation.

I do believe that the Huskies "skip" USC and Utah this year.  And iirc they do play at Oregon.  That being said, the schedule is there for Washington to have a CFP season.  The question will be can Penix stay healthy.

Guy I know has been saying this since the Huskers loss vs Northwestern. I dismissed it because I just don't think the job/town/city is what Urban is looking for. Now if/when UCLA opens up I could see that.

I don't know... He's turned down some good gigs... I'm not sure he'd leave for anyplace not named tOSU

With the conference realignment stuff going on, I would imagine that a lot of coaches are giddy about being in the B1G.  And I don't see the tOSU job opening up anytime soon.

He's already turned down Michigan State...

And I'm not sure Day is going to be around all that long in Columbus... He's been a position coach in the pros... I think if an NFL team came calling, he'd listen

If I remember correctly two of the things that gave Nebraska an edge in the past was them being ahead of the curve in implementing weight training programs in college football, heck they practically invented it, and Osborne taking chances on academically challenged athletes.

With the playing field leveled I think it will be tough for them to recover.

Remember, Nebraska was a power before Osborne arrived.
