XJ 6.5 turnovers per game

2.8 TO per game doofus

Through 11 games, Johnson is averaging 9.9 points, 4.9 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 turnovers and 1.2 steals per game in 25.2 minutes per contest. He’s shooting 41.5 percent from the field overall, including 37 percent from behind the 3-point arc. The Daily Hoosier –“Where Indiana fans assemble when they’re not at Assembly”

Before I shift my attention to Maryland I do want to say one thing that has been missing from most if not all of the post game comments. Pretty well officiated. Maybe putting a mic on these guys is exactly what Big 10 should do to all games? I actually liked hearing them discussing game at halftime. Shows me that their at least interested in being good.

Agree, that was a well officiated game!

In Big 10 play  6.5 you jerk. The post was on Big 10 conference games only. You cant read or do math

I can read and do math. You didn't specify big 10 in your post and the post you quoted had no turnover statistics. You only provided 6.5.  Unlike you, I don't care enough to know how many turnovers 1 guy has every game. There is more to the game than one statistical category. How many of his turnovers led to points anyway?  Probably wouldn't have mattered in those 2 games.

Malik is just a tick slow footed.. (I do think he can become more than adequate there this offseason in the weight room)... but, that isn't his main issue defensively..

He opens up and tries to body guys too often rather than just be 6'9 and take a decent angle to cut someone off.

Giving up contested 12fters is going to get us beat. Maybe don't let someone hit 2 in a row from there? But still.. I'm more than fine with giving up that kind of shot.

He needs to be able to force a counter-move more regularly and then the best shot blocker in our program's history can usually alter or block those counter moves from the weakside.

Rutgers game 6 turnovers

Nebraska game 7 turnovers

For you that are uneducated that is 6.5 per game in Big 10

Don't be scared of punctuation. Properly used commas can help readers understand your point, and they can also make readers think you have something intelligent to say. I also find them helpful to use when I am trying to insult others for their lack of knowledge. If I don't use them in those situations, it becomes clear to others that I am in fact the one that is uneducated.

Another Buck fan post...

Well, boy howdy. Having watched both mens and womens BB teams get their fannies kicked this past week in Bloomington, that arena is still poison for tOSU. Have NEVER seen a 15 point run where everything goes right for one team, and everything goes wrong for the other (tOSU). With that wild run excluded, tOSU played them pretty much even. Not entirely certain how long it took, but I was shell shocked and just happy the buzzer sounded to end the half. #23 is going to be a multi-millionaire come NBA draft time, #1 is the purest shooter (good!) I've seen since Seth Curry, and the rest of the team was always contributing. Wow, what a shot. Sensabaugh had a valiant effort, and Okpara has gone from being a freshman, to being a grown-up. Albeit one who doesn't have much "O", but someone I'd want on my team. Sueing tried, but didn't quite have the consistency. McNeil showed plenty of grit, abandoning his normal roaming of the arc, and going toward the hole. What, 5 (?) three point plays, the hard way. The other guys tried hard too, no doubt about it, but IU's defensive game plan was simply too much. Write it down, IU in Final Four. Only wished they'd stuck Jimmy Jackson in a uniform....Loved the double-down on the big, our guys at 6'8" couldn't match up, and the effort on the boards was much better, but those stats showed that IU was superior in every way.

Agree with the above, let's get some seasoning of the frosh, we're ain'ta gonna make the Dance this year, and maybe not NIT either.

Don't know if I agree with the first bolded (and did he mean Steph?), but I hope he's clairvoyant on the 2nd bolded :)

JHS looks and flows like an NBA talent on the floor.  I say this to anyone who will watch an IU game with me.  Even my girlfriends who humors me by watching with me.  Maybe he is referring to Steph Curry's freshman year in college?  But no, at this point, JHS is not Steph Curry level of talent.  But he is NBA talent all day long and twice on Sunday's

I’m sure the guy missed that JHS was 1 for his last twelve threes prior to last night. He’s 43%, which is excellent, but he’s a bit streaky. When he’s on, he’s 6-9, 5-7, 5-8. When he’s off, to his credit he’s 0-3, 1-4. You haven’t seen an 0-8 like some guys have.

JHS and Malik keep delivering, it sure helps that Montverde Academy connection looks better and better for the future.

Didn't look like it was fastened on at all...no nuts or bolts in the vicinity?   Almost like someone laid it on top of something and forgot it?

From an SI article -

"Indiana University released a statement saying the piece that fell from the board was an unused unistrut bracket 18 inches in length and just over one pound.

A unistrut is a metal framing system that features a unique weldless connection and is easily adjustable and reusable according to UnistrutStore.com.

"It is believed that the unused piece was left from the original installation of the Daktronics scoreboard, which occurred seven years ago, and the vibration from the crowd and music caused the piece to come loose and fall at halftime of the game," the report said."

That was some crowd last night.

Good call on the unistrut!

Agree completely on Reneau. Love the kid, but he has to improve on recognizing the double and kicking it out to shooters. Between him and TJD, those guys did not recognize the right play when doubled a lot of times yesterday. They probably missed Kopp 4-5 times for easy, simple passes that would have resulted in wide open 3's.

Agree on XJ as well. I'm probably a bigger XJ fan then most, but the reality is that he's missed a lot of time and JHS is a legit, NBA guard. You don't take the ball out of the hands of a guy like JHS at this point.

JHS is our point guard at this point. XJ needs to come back with a "anything that helps my team win" attitude. Serve as a defensive specialist and secondary ball handler and scoring option.

Almost like Phinisee's role last year, but if XJ accepts it he'll be much better at it.

It could he tricky for the staff integrating him back in.

I just wish he would go to the coaching staff and say hey let me run second team and dominate the other teams second team and then if you want me in at end of game with JHS then I’ll be ready
