The actual fighting dogs were bad enough. Ever hear of the concept of “bait dogs” used in dog fighting? They’d take smaller but somewhat tough dogs that had a fighting spirit and put them in with one of the fighting dogs to get them good and worked up. The “bait dog” would put up as much of a fight as they could but they were ultimately just logs being fed to a saw mill. One of the breeds they looked at for bait dogs were Boston Terriers. Because of their English Bulldog lineage, if you find an unusually strong, spirited one, they’re actually tough little turds. I had the pleasure of owning one that fit that description for 11 years, and the idea that you’d look at such a proud, loving animal as mere bait is unforgivable. Rest in peace big dog. I liked Luck, but thankfully Poles is better GM than Grigson was and will actually try to have an o-line that can protect him some, so Caleb will probably play more than 6 seasons. I’m not saying Caleb is going to be better but I think it’s silly to say he can’t possibly be better when he hasn’t taken a snap in the NFL yet. We’ll all find out in a few years. Yeah, but in all fairness, Gary Busey on acid is a better GM than Grigson was.

More importantly, if we have to go back 40 plus years to find an answer, it kinda helps my point. 😁

Only guys that were destroyed in college that had long and successful pro careers were guys like Gore and McGahee.

But iirc Kelly was dinged up often at the "U" before the major injury. Didn't Jim also play LB in HS? And I will be giving this major injury thing some more thought. But he is the only guy I could come up with off the top of my head.
Seeking6
Darn. Was hoping one of the locals would grab him. Isaac Guerendo ends up a 49er.

Although I 100% am pulling for him. I am definitely a Penix fan. Steve McNair was constantly dinged up when he was at Alcorn State. He didn’t miss a lot of time because he was an incredibly tough SOB and was bigger than some FCS linebackers at the time. Fairly durable as a pro, and lasted 13 years. And not a QB, but Gronk was hurt almost constantly in college. Had his fair share of injuries as a pro, but when you leave the game as a sure-fire HOFer and one of the best ever at your position….you did alright. Rumor he fell because GM's put out that Mitchell wasn't interested in the interview process and acted like he couldn't care less and made him out to have character issues. A WR that could have went 15th and fell to 52. Something is wrong.

The amount of lies that are told this last week are staggering....and Ballard isn't dumb. Calculated or not I guarantee not only the kid but several others took notice of what he said and will remember.
Seeking6
I won't pretend to be anything besides a slightly above average football fan/observer.....but if Aaron Casey is an undrafted player there are dozens of GM's who don't get football.
