What was a 5pt win for Scottsburg in OT, turns into a forfeit loss. Not sure how you make that mistake as a coach. Stupid coaching mistake, but a stupid rule.

When playing football you go full speed or you risk getting hurt. Basketball isn't as physically demanding.
gnet550
A nice 1A school to take a look at is my alma-mater, Clay City. The Eels are off to a 5-1 start, the lone loss being to Linton. (The played very poorly that game, and Linton is a pretty good squad led by the Oliver kid, and a nice group of Soph) Clay City has wins over previously ranked 1A number 1 Bloomfield, and they took down Barr-Reeve. Clay City is ranked #4 in 1A, led by a nice group of Juniors. Ethan Edwards has been on a tear to start the year. Very active on the glass and blocks a lot of shots for them. In the Linton game their guards got on their heels, and Linton was physical with them....In the Barr-Reeve game, they played tough and came away with a victory...I'd love to see them make a run come Sectional time!
Proud2BAHoosier
Interesting ballgames down here in Evansville area tonight with 4-1 Heritage Hills against 2-1 Memorial. Also have 1-3 Bosse vs. 2-3 Washington, 1-2 Castle against 2-3 Reitz....
Proud2BAHoosier
Looks like it was a real barn burner between Memorial and Heritage Hills as the Patriots won by 1, 66-65...... Looks like IU recruit, Trent Sisley scored 32 of Heritage Hills 66 points!! Not too shabby..... Artesian_86
…..Shew! Just got back from watching Jennings County upset #4 Brownstown Central. Jack Benter was held to 21 pts. tonight, ( I know, he was supposed to be a little gimpy and possibly not play) but he looked pretty good. Carter Kent lead all scores with 30. We came back from 19 down in the 3rd quarter and won by 8. What a great game and atmosphere!

Luckily they cooled off in the 4th. Kent was great but I was really impressed by Dorian Hacker. Think he is finally getting over the foot injury and looks to be turning into a really good player.
Hoosierfan1901
There were a lot of great SIAC games tonight 70-54 Memorial over Castle 57-47 Harrison over North 45-39 Vincennes Lincoln over Jasper 74-64 Bosse over Central 61-59 BNL over Reitz
5fouls
@btownqb - My son and I had a great time in the stands tonight at the Silver Creek-Brownstown game pretending to be the Brownstown radio announcers. We saw SC get away with 138 fouls, 71 travels, 46 three-second violations, 19 double dribbles, and 8 FT lane violations. And, by gosh, Jack's going to be sore tomorrow with all the abuse he took tonight.

btownqb
Didnt realize until tonight Brownstowns JV is undefeated.. the JV team starts 3 varsity football players, MLB, center, and corner/slot... just sophomores, but very advanced. They play 6 or so football guys.

I think their best player, Pendleton, isn't playing JV right now because Micah Sheffer (ironically our QB) has a broken vertebrae and is out right now on the V. I'm sure they'll have a real test tonight playing at Carmel. Coaching wise-- Michael Leitzman, who graduated a year behind, he started at corner on the football team, is their HC. He's won a sectional at Springs Valley but gave that up to come home. 4 hours ago, 5fouls said: No. We've just heard them on the radio multiple times before and find their homerism hysterical. Good friend of mine in GA used to be the PA announcer for the local HS football team. Told me just for fun he would start calling out numbers on the play for players sitting on the bench!😂
