Parakeet Jones Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 Brutal loss. Where do we win on the road? 1 Quote
Milosh68 Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 This team wins games…but doesn’t know how to win games. 2 Quote
Steubenhoosier Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 I usually don’t blame the refs, but we got screwed on this one 2 Quote

5fouls Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 I should have gone to bed. Could have awoken blissfully ignorant after a good night's sleep. 2 Quote
Coach Robby Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 5 on 8 in 2nd half. No chance with Race out. Honestly we’ll be lucky to finish 5th or better if he’s lost for the season. Quote
Hoosier987 Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 Up 28-7 and lose in regulation. This program is cursed. Year after year for a decade + these type of inexplicable losses happen. 1 1 Quote
IU Scott Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 Can't blow a 21 points lead and I blame it solely on Woodson subbing when we were up 28-7. There are no rules saying you can't play your starters the majority of the half. Don't play with the momentum of the game and try to put the team away. Don't let up and give the other team hope. 2 Quote
Zville Hoosier Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 And this is why we all have PTSD. I knew for sure this was gonna be a game when we were up 21, we just don’t know how to step on throats 2 Quote
5fouls Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 In the grand scheme of things, it probably did not matter, but how can a college player not understand that slamming the backboard like that is not the way to miss a free throw. 2 Quote
Kdug Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 Well, that was brutal. Lost a game we were up by 20. Lost one last of our best players to injury. And at this point, I think it’s fair to say our defense is just not that good. Quote
IUFLA Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 We just can't keep throwing inside... They either double or we throw it away... JHS showed what he can do on the perimeter... Tamar and Miller have to shoot it when they're open... Loved our fight... 4 Quote
kyhoosier29 Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 What’s new? 🤷🏻♂️ Didn’t quit and tough going without Race and XJ, but no excuse for the missed FTs, excessive turnovers, and poor D. Don’t need X and RT to do any of those things. Another disappointing season coming. Some thanks to bad luck/injuries, but again, what’s new? 1 1 Quote

IU Scott Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 Love to see the foul calls after the tech on McCafferty. We just have to have guys like Kopp, Bates and Galloway be ready to shoot and step into the shots. It seems like they catch it and they are open but they hesitate then it is to late. If Race is out for the long time our expectations has to be adjusted. Quote

Need to shoot the shot with a high arch and hit the back of the rim. Edited January 6, 2023 by IU Scott Quote
bluegrassIU Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 JHS was a bright spot. TJD fought admirably. The rest.....ugh 3 Quote
5fouls Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 If only JHS had not used his nose to foul Perkins' elbow. 2 5 Quote

KDB Posted January 6, 2023 Author Report Posted January 6, 2023 Just disappointed. I thought this team would be different. 21 point lead at any point - no excuses, you cannot lose that game. 4 1 Quote
NotIThatLives Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 Answers? Me either. I don't get how we don't finish off bad teams. 3 Quote
loviubb Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 (edited) Not much to say. But when Race was undercut and no call !! It changed the game 5 point swing to Iowa! Done posting!! Bates is going to ne who we hope for Edited January 6, 2023 by loviubb 1 Quote
