I think Molina is in.  He was the standard defensively for most of his career.  His defense puts him over the top.  I don't think he gets in based on offense alone.

That was my first take.  He was brought up as a defensive specialist and only later really ramped up his offensive production.  He's a little short on offensive power and production, but he has always been lights out defensively.

Domingo German pitched a great game today going 7 strong innings and beat the Sawks 9-2. He is 14 and 2. Maybe a possible Cy Young? And DJ LaMahieu smacked 2 homeruns today. Talk about a great acquisition, the guy has been on fire all season!

Go Yanks

Would have to think Verlander is the leading AL Cy Young candidate right now.  His WHIP and WAR are significantly better than German's, with the same number of wins.

The Yanks completed a double header sweep of Boston on Saturday. But it came at a cost. In the first game , Encarnacion fractured his wrist while getting hit by a pitch. In the second game, Hicks injured his shoulder while making a throw from the outfield to 3rd base. Boone was using  call up players I had not heard of!

this year's Yankee team reminds me of last year's Hoosiers!!!

Meanwhile the Astros got a no bigger from newly acquired pitcher from the Blue Jays who had an era North of 6! One of the relievers who also pitched, was also from the Jays. I think Houston has to be the WE favorites.

Thanks Cashman  😠

What on earth is a 'no bigger'?

Cubs still made the NLCS in 2017 after title but that World Series hangover is real. Astros basically did the same last year. No real reason for it. Just happens I guess.

Yeah, but Boston is in danger of not making the play-offs.

Don"t get me wrong, as a Yankee fan, I"m enjoying the beat down the Sawks are getting. But I also am wondering what is wrong with them. Aren" g they the same team as last year?

Sale, Porcello, and Price haven't got the numbers....the last I looked their team ERA was around 4.75.
